My brother was stationed in Ali Al Salem for a good while.. Now he's in Turkey ready to come home this month.. He retires next year..

Welcome back! Returning from deployment is not only a happy time, but also a time of great satisfaction.

Oh nice, I had a project in Ali Al Salem, had to stay there for a month or so. Really nice base, there's this road that has all the restaurants and shoppettes on it that looks like a poor man's Rodeo Drive

But when it's hot in Kuwait it's UNBEARABLY hot there. I have a feeling it has something to do with the fact that they have paved roads and Camp Buehring has dirt roads everywhere.

Hahaha nah, but really though, it broke 129 degrees in Kuwait while I was there and having to walk a mile and a half for a box of boiling hot bottled water was definitely no fun at all
