Time to draft a new QB!?!
|
So they can learn from this Blake Bortles stud and get traded for first round picks! It makes me so happy when fans of other teams text me that the Jags look like they will be contenders next year. Let's get Fowler back, plug in some holes on D and the O'line via draft and FA and then we will be set.

My suspicion is that Henne returns as the backup next year, but I wouldn't be opposed to drafting a guy in the mid rounds to take over as Bortles' backup and eventual tradebait.
I enjoy seeing BB5 and Henne laughing it up on the sideline...I mean I don't want Henne to ever see the field, but it always gets me in the feels.
Always draft QBs late in the draft if you believe they can be fixed and eventually be used/traded. You never want to be late in the season in the playoff battle and not have a stud at backup if bortles goes down. The patriots have written the manual on this. Follow it.
Can't wait to see whats next.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Take a late round flier on a guy that needs to develop and Boom! I miss when we used to have a QB train. Rob Johnson to Buffalo, Jay Fieldler to Miami. That's the stuff that keeps NFL teams awesome. I'm just excited that he's playing so well. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

I'm inclined to think that given the money he gets that we would do just as well with a rookie clipboard rider to learn behind Bortles. I see very little positive for keeping Chad another year. If we do lose Henne, my preference would be to either go after a guy like Chase Daniel, who's more of a play-style match for Bortles than Henne is, or draft a guy in the middle rounds. It's just awesome that this is now our problem/non-problem. We do need a kicker stat though! |
