Tom Cable is one of the best O-Line coaches in the NFL.  Most of the players he works with primarily played other positions.  LT George Fant was a basketball player at Western Kentucky,  who didn't even play College Football!

 

What you mentioned is a major reason why I think Russell Wilson is easily a top 10 NFL QB and might even be a top 5 QB.
