At least we aren't getting blown out

Quote:When I said blown out I meant on the scoreboard. You said we were getting blown out. Which ignited the argument.

But what's the difference?  When you are out coached and have no chance, what does it really matter?

The minute the Jets got the lead it was pretty much over.  Our team is out matched, not because of the players we have...  But because of the coaches that run this organization.

We're mentally blown out every Sunday.  I mean, look at the 2 wins we got.  We beat a loser Dolphin team that gave up on thier coach, and a Bills team that lost their starting QB, and both starting WRs...  And we still almost lost to EJ Manuel...

We're blown out before we even take the field.

We had 1 full week to prepare for the hyper aggressive defense the Jets were going to throw our way.  Did we look prepared for the Jet's blitzes???  Of course not.  You know why?  Because we were already blown out.  Our head coach couldn't handle the preparation that was needed to be competitive with the Jets.

BeerGut Bradley is mentally incapable of being a head coach.  When it comes to being an NFL head coach, he is(Insult Removed).  He has no capability to handle the rigors of what it takes to be an NFL head coach.  He's (Insult Removed) in terms of NFL coaching.  Keeping him as the head coach means that we are blown out every week in terms of preparation and game planning.  He's a (Insult Removed).  I don't know how else I can explain it to you guys.

Gus BeerGut is (Insult Removed).  He is not intelligent enough to be an NFL head coach.  He may be capable of being High School head coach, but he's not mentally equipped to be a head coach in the NFL.

It was more a reference that the players are progressing and the talent is there. But I agree we need a new HC. 9-31 shouldn't get a pass no matter who you are.

Quote:Seriously?  So you think that coaches don't matter?  You think that coaches should be allowed a pass when we all knew that the Jets were gonna come with blitzes on almost every passing down?

You really think we should give our coaches a pass when all they did was put our players in the worst possible position?

No way, dude, coaching matters.  This coach killed us today

Where did I imply that coaching doesn't matter?  I was referring to this one game, Also, before the game Gus said he expected them to blitz. We obviously just don't have the personnel to protect against the Blitzkrieg the # 4 ranked Jets defense bombarded us with.  You can't deny that there is a marked improvement between last and this year's Jaguars. Patience... We're getting there .

It's more than just protecting on a blitz...  If you know you're pass protection won't hold up against thier blitz, then make sure you have a hot read.  Make sure you have some screens to throw...  Make sure you run a few draw plays...

But no,  We didn't do any of that.  I mean, I'm not even a real coach, and I know this stuff.

It's easy to say, "yeah, we know they are gonna come after us".

It's another thing to actually do something about it.  BeerGut is to (Insult Removed) to figure out how to prepare for something.  The guy is (Insult Removed) when compared to other NFL Head Coaches.  I'm sorry, but (Insult Removed) should not be our head coach.  We need somebody that is at the same level as the rest of the NFL coaches.  Having (Insult Removed) headcoach puts us at a HUGE disadvantage.  We basically have no chance to win any game unless the other team is physically disabled (Bills) or mentally disabled even more so than our (Insult Removed) (Dolphins).

A good bit of handling blitzes falls on Bortles making better pre-snap reads and continuing to make the right reads after the snap.  That'll come with more experience but needs to improve rapidly.  I just hope the OC, QB Coach, etc. are doing a good job of teaching him.
