So that trade happened apparently. For a 7th round pick.

West was on his way out in Cleveland anyway. He reportedly had a bad training camp and alienated teammates and coaches, blah blah blah, all the stuff that "leaks" out of "team sources" when the front office gives up on a high draft pick and tries to spin him as something other than a bust.
