Ouch. I'd look for Cousins and McCoy to each add to their total this year, but I doubt that Gruden would ever put Griffin into a game again at this point.

Quote:At this point, I'm left to wonder what coach Snyder could possibly interest in that job.

Some great candidates have come in and Snyder either drove them away (Schottenheimer), or with his meddling failed them miserably (Shanahan).

I'm sure like Jones, he wanted to have a splash type hire and will in the future.  But eventually I think he will want someone he can control.

It can't end well for them.

The only HC that seemed like was able to function w/o interference from Daniel Snyder and the front office was Joe Gibbs.  Very likely because Snyder greatly respected what Gibbs accomplished in his first stint of his HOF coaching career.

Otherwise,  the Redskins franchise has been as dysfunctional and incongruent as any in the NFL during Snyder's ownership years.  While it's possible Snyder will offer the moon to a high profile HC candidate ( s ) and one might accept,  I agree with you that it's hard to imagine it ending up well for practically anyone else who coaches the Redskins.     Coaching candidates would very likely be far better off waiting for another opportunity.

This is the worst franchise in the NFL right now. So you're telling me Kirk Cousins is better and gives you a more chance to win than RGIII? The GM, HC, and staff needs to be fired. They need to trade RGIII out of there and move Washington to LA California. This franchise is done.

That brass is dumb. Dumb, dumb, dumb.

Status quo under Danny Boy's control.

One of the most interesting landing spots I've heard mention was Kansas City (the idea is what Reid did for McNabb.)

Don't see the comparison between the two QBs, but if you buy into the QB whisperer stuff, I suppose so.

Probably needs to go somewhere to sit and learn, which did wonders for guys like McNair and Steve Young.
