Full Definition of COLLUSION

: secret agreement or cooperation especially for an illegal or deceitful purpose
col·lu·sive

\-ˈlü-siv, -ziv\ adjective

I'm no fan of Goodell and what he's doing to the NFL, but...

I really don't understand this take at all. Those crying collusion were doing so saying it was obvious that was happening if neither got a deal.

Now both have a deal. HUGE deals. Guys are getting PAID.

So how does that "collusion" logic work, exactly? And what does that mean to the other guys at other position who got paid today, too? Tagged players who aren't missing index fingers make crazy money on the last day?

All it means, that I can see, is that they were all 11th hour deals teams were in no hurry to make. Unless there's something I can be shown that I'm missing here, which is very possible.

I can't wait until the Jags have players worthy of being accused of colluding.

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

I just find it strange that they're threatened with these charges and at the last minute sign almost identical contracts almost simultaneously.

It's obvious to me that Dallas and Denver were discussing how to structure deals for their top WRs and that these deals will set the current top WR money standards. Is that against the NFL rules to work between two franchises? I'm not sure. IRS still technically collusion, just not necessarily illegal collusion.

I just find it a bit odd and shady how it played out in the end. But good for the players for getting paid.
