Malik was #7 in the league for interior pressure 2 games ago.   

I think Dareus has been better overall this year but as a pass rusher Malik is ahead.

If we are going by pff Jackson is 59 and Dareus is 80.  21 points better.  Dareus gets a lot of pressure for a NT.  Rushing the passer isn't even his job but he is still decent at it.  Not to mention he isn't usually out there on 3rd downs.  I think we keep both though

Yeah I don't think anyone is arguing against Dareus being better overall this year , as mentioned in the comments above.

Dareus is disruptive for his size and role here, just not on the same tier as Malik. At the height of Dareus's power he was elite in the run and pass, now he's elite in the run and good in the pass. Still a terrific player.

You are aware Jackson barely played early on and was only a rotational guy right? 

Jackson has 29 sacks in 64 starts, Dareus has 37 in 94 starts. So let's not pretend theres some large discrepancy there.  

I'm talking about this year too. None of this is a slightly on Dareus either, just there isn't any evidence of Dareus out performing Jackson on a snap to snap basis as pass rusher this year. Overall he's been much better though.

Not just from that throw.  Grier has always been good.  We would of won the championship when he was with Florida if he didnt fail a drug test.  Grier and Finley are my 2 favorites

One thought in particular that comes to mind is their might be someone in the Jaguars Current Front Office who has demonstrated that he's highly skilled at player talent evaluation and has a number of the other skills to be a successful NFL GM.  If the Jaguars have an in-house option along these lines,   at the very least Shad Khan and Tom Coughlin should discuss whether its best to promote him to Caldwell's position.

It's possible, but I'd rather see someone who hasn't been viewing the world through Caldwell's eyes. Gene Smith had hung around since the beginning, was Shack's top lieutenant (IIRC) then got the starting job, and look how well the years of tutelage did for him.

Dalton has started off very well like this several times before. For some reason, I suspect his arm is simply not quite strong enough, once winter comes and the AFC North turns bitter cold and windy he always falls off.
