Jags02 was right about Corey Grant.

This thread is hilarious. I guess he was right though, because most of our "fans" trash any player that isn't a all pro in year one.

Don't they tho, Its absolutely ridiculous to even be apart of this fan base. 49% accept mediocrity and 49% judge so quickly that it makes you wonder if they only play Madden and write in the message boards.

I will say this. Thank goodness for that 2% that actually has football IQ, that knows when to prosecute or take a wait and see approach.

Funny thing is... this message board makes up a slim portion of the actual fan base.
That's why the polarization...
Theres a few dozen "apologists" and a few dozen "haters/trolls"
even if you include the tweeters that aren't MB members... still a slim number
Out of tens of thousands of fans...

That's definitely a fair point.  I guess i just read the MB too much; but then again i rarely post due to so much negativity.  It's hard enough arguing with Jags fans at work who always have **** in their morning coffee and complain all day W,L, or draw.  I still love being a Jags fan regardless lol.

Yeah, even Cooks had more pop than Yeldon last night. But yeah, ya got a big Grant supporter here.

Grant is a really chill cool guy too. He's come into the store I work at. Same with Myles and Nortman. Feel like the Jags really have a lot of high character guys on the squad.

I like Corey Grant. I had hoped his KR ability would afford the team reason enough to keep him and gameplan some gimmick plays and screens for him.
I did think that speed was essentially his only weapon. He's s proven me wrong in that regard as he's developed into a more well-rounded back.
Very nice to see that the end of last season wasn't a fluke for him.

When were we ever deep at RB, WR, and CB at the same time?  Maybe some trade bait here to bolster LB, TE, or picks.  Or maybe we have a few "soft tissue injuries" to send some to the IR.

I really want to see Grant more involved in the passing game. I think he could make a play if we shift everything to one side and then run him on a wheel route to the opposite side, or even just start getting him a screen pass every once in a while. I think we all know what yeldon can do.

Grant has to be more consistent in order to supplant Ivory or Yeldon. His speed alone will not guarantee success in the NFL. Yes he had an remarkable burst up the middle for an TD but once or twice a season will not be good enough.

I marvelled at that run though.

I don't see the love for Ivory or Yeldon. Ivory is a decent RB with a tendency to fumble that's getting paid top 5 rb money; if there were no dead money consequences he would be cuttable. Yeldon dances too much but could be a capable backup until Grant supplanted him or we get a new guy next year.

I do see the potential in a successful Fournette/Ivory combo, but that leaves Yeldon or Grant to be that 3rd down guy when Fournette needs a break. Id almost rather hand Corey Grant that job over Yeldon. The main hope is that Ivory can hold onto the damn ball this year.
