Quote:The Jaguars have released the following players: seventh-year LB Andrew Gachkar, fifth-year DE Malliciah Goodman and fourth-year LB Josh McNary.

The Jaguars have waived the following players: undrafted rookie RB Tim Cook, undrafted rookie DE Hunter Dimick, fourth-year CB Brian Dixon, second-year TE Alex Ellis, undrafted rookie WR Amba Etta-Tawo, undrafted rookie OL Avery Gennesy, first-year TE David Grinnage, second-year DB Tracy Howard, fourth-year CB Stanley Jean-Baptiste, first-year OL Nila Kasitati, undrafted rookie DT Kevin Maurice, undrafted rookie DE Carroll Phillips, second-year OL Chris Reed and first-year DE Jonathan Woodard.

The Jaguars have waived/injured the following players: second-year CB Doran Grant, undrafted rookie S Jarrod Harper and second-year WR Shane Wynn. Grant, Harper and Wynn will revert to the team’s reserve/injured list if they clear waivers tomorrow.

Lastly, the Jaguars placed third-year WR Rashad Greene Sr. on the team’s reserve/injured list. Greene Sr. is not eligible for reserve/injured – designated for return.

The Jaguars now have 53 players on their active roster.

Interesting move putting greene on IR.

Looks like Sterling beat out Ellis.

The Dixon cut is a little bit surprising. I'm expecting a CB waiver wire signing. I hope Jean Baptiste makes the PS.

No major surprises. Bit miffed about us letting Bowanko go, we need bodies and he's looked ok. Greene getting pit on IR isn't that much of a shock. Couldn't see where he fit in. He'll probably be let go next year.

Hopefully we can pick some O line help on waivers.

Greene needs to focus on his return game. If he can come back next year and prove to be an unstoppable return guy, maybe he can work his way onto a team.

Jean-Baptiste is not eligible. There is an exception to allow up to four vets, but they can only have two accrued seasons behind them. Jean-Baptiste has accrued three.

Yes, but the nine games per season rule still applies. If he hasn't played in more than nine games in a given season during his career, he should technically still have eligbility.

All the same, I'm surprised to see him go. He's got great size for corner and the ability to play safety as well. I thought he had Myrick beat.

Is Jean Baptiste PS eligible?  Isn't he a 4th year guy and thus ineligible for the PS?

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!

...no, not with three accrued seasons. I think you're allowed one accrued, but only if it's less than nine games.
