But yeah, the fans on here were ready to string Bortles up from the rafters and ship Caldwell off for not doing anything about an awful OL.

Neither team is making a serious run thru the playoffs if we're being honest.  I think it's a three way race between Houston, Jax, and Tennessee with the one coming out on top being the beneficiary of a bad division.

Here are my picks:

Texans/Bengals: Last wee weekend was an anomaly for Andy Dalton. There is zero chance any of the five concussed Texans players will clear the protocol on a short week and it is a road game for them. For the same reason, Deshaun Watson will not be ready for his first NFL start after playing only half a game in his career. BENGALS

Cardinals/Colts: If the Rams can blow out a better team without its best player, you know the Cardinals don't need their star running back to pick on a rebuilt Colts defense. And with the Colts being un-Luck-y, we can expect Tyrann Mathieu and Co. to beat up whoever the quarterback is. CARDINALS

Titans/Jaguars: I liked most of what I saw on Sunday and am aware we were also made very good plays during the third quarter. It will not be that easy to win this week (assuming, of course, we play the game Sunday), but we clearly have shown the NFL a defense to get excited about and Leonard Fournette is the real deal. JAGUARS

Bengals: This the battle of two teams that were expected to come out swinging only to come out flat. I expect the Bengals to recoup from poor offensive play this week. The texans have too many issues to overcome this week. Bengals 27- Texans 10

Arizona: This one is a toss up for me but leaning towards Arizona. The coin flip is Brissett starting. I don't believe the clots defense is as bad as they played last week. However, you need to score points to win, and that offense goes as the QB and TY go. Arizona 21- Colts 16

Tenn: This one pained me but got to be honest, the tacks have a complete team. They went shot for shot with the Raiders last week, and that has been tough to do (score wasn't true story). Our D-front will be anemic this week. Also, expect our LBs to get a workout in a lopsided loss to the tacks. Bortles will be expected to throw more and stats show the more yardage Bortles has, the worse the result. Revenge for last year? Perhaps. tacks 31- Jags 13

This prediction looks like you did not watch the Texans game. Never mind the fact that Houston's regular starting tackles are not on the roster. Even Denver's pass rushers don't sack backup level quarterbacks 10 times in one game, so to see our guys do it shows us we can make hitting and tackling Marcus Mariota behind LOS look relatively easy. Also, we are not seeking revenge this weekend because it has already been done. Remember the last time we played against Tennessee?

Not sure why I do it, but here goes...

Your response looks like either you lack reading comprehension or just like to be argumentative. Answer these few questions to yourself:

1.) Do you believe the tacks O-line to be as weak or weaker than the texans O-line?
2.) Do you believe the Jags defense will put up similar numbers every game?
3.) Did you read what I wrote previously before responding or just skim?
4.) Do you think perhaps that "revenge" was on the part of the tacks in my sentence? Not Jags?
5.) Do you believe Mariota is on the same level as Savage and Watson?
6.) Which team do you believe is better... texans or tacks?
7.) Did you make your predictions and perhaps a small write-up before criticising?

I think Jax's D looked very playoff worthy.
It's only one week though... no one outside of KC and maybe GB & Balt looked "complete" or "elite" in week 1.

I like Bengals in a snoozer over Houston 13-3, I don't see Houston's offense doing much, they should have been shut out vs us. 


I don't see Arians losing to his old team, plus Arizona is a vastly better team talent wise. I like Arizona in a blowout 26-6. 

We should beat the Titans at home. I will take us 23-16.

Give me Cincy over Houston on a short week plus injuries. Dalton won't throw 4 picks again.

Arizona/Indy has the making of the Rams game again. A really good defense that will feast on Tolzien or Brissett.

And I have to take Jax of course. While the Tenn rushing attack should be better than Houston's, I don't see Decker or a rookie doing much on our secondary. Regardless of how good Davis looks. They didn't exactly torch a weak Oakland defense and their DL isn't as good as Houston's. Plus fresh off a big win and Irma emotion.

I just don't see how the Titans do much of anything if our defense shows up. Mariota is so ridiculously overrated. He can't throw outside the numbers. He has no deep ball. Murray is old, Henry is underwhelming. I don't see them scoring more than 7.

The only game that will be a close contest will be the Jags and titans game. I thought I was generous having Houston only lose by 10. The cards without Johnson is interesting, but no Luck for indy means they lose big. Nothing too illogical there.
