tacks week pre/post game talk

VondyP is a blind homer who is wrong 9 times out of 10.

But man, you guys sure are riding high after a win over a pretty bad football team who was starting Tom Savage at QB. I get it though. I know what it's like when your team is in the dumpster for years on end. You gotta let yourself get excited over something every once in awhile.

I could see this game going either way. I do believe we are the overall better team. But lucky for you guys our secondary is... well, crap would be putting it too nicely. At the same time, Bortles isn't exactly scaring anybody. And while Hurns and Lee are solid they are definitely no Cooper and Crabtree. So I'd expect our secondary to have a bit better of a day than last Sunday.

The reality is, no team is likely going to run away with this division. Colts are going to finish last imo. I think they will be in such a huge hole by the time Luck gets back they won't be able to recover. And I think the Texans have a tough road ahead. That leaves Titans and Jags imo. But I think both teams are still likely at least a year away from being anything more than 8-8ish.

It's silly for you guys to be overlooking us as many of you seem to be. This is a division game between two hungry up and coming teams. Anything can happen. We tend to play better on the road anyway.....

When Cyprien is your starting safety I don't want to hear anything you have to say. If his back up is playing since hes hurt then the tacks are gonna have a long day ahead of them. This game will be a blow out easy. The secondary is trash and injured. They just got plowed through by Lynch and about the face a younger version of him this week lol.

I called their O-Line a joke in response to your first post in this thread.  Feel free to own up to being wrong about Savage's holding the ball and accuracy.

he did hold it too long relative to how long he had to throw it.

try watching the game instead of the stats

So he should have throw to receivers that hadn't even come out of their breaks yet?

Brilliant.

Hope you get 4 turnovers and 10 sacks every game, cause that putrid O won't stand much of a chance otherwise.

Unless you plan on riding Fournette and his 3.8 ypc to victory every week.

Who knows?  Maybe Fournette willl truck Jurrell Casey, too.

BTW, where's the congrats from knocking your starting QB and good OL from the playoffs?  Now THAT was a Merry Christmas and a Festivus for the rest of us!

Yep our high draft pick  QB had us nearly in the playoffs in his 2nd year, such a horrible year for us

Your high draft pick QB can barely complete pass ... hey, maybe Bortles will be bad enough you can waste another top 5 pick on a qb

I would say we feasted a lot, not a bit, on the Tinhorns defense. And we did it with Leonard Fournette more than anyone else because that was the game plan.

Derrick Henry is nothing special. You probably ignored all of the offseason chatter about Calais Campbell during the free agency period, in which he was named one of the best UFAs. He is the real deal no matter who is playing against him. Have you ever watched him play with the Cardinals? Also, Abry Jones is an upgrade over Roy Miller. That's why we re-signed him in the offseason. I know he is not going to be elite, but Tacks fans probably underrate him.

How do I explain your TOP"?

Houston could not sustain a drive due to piss poor OL and QB play.

And I get that you guys are in love with Calais Campbell. What you seem to be ignoring is that he will not be going against practice squad caliber OTs like he was in Houston. He will be going against a Pro Bowl OT and an All Pro OT.

You are obviously ignoring what the media says about Calais Campbell. Jaguars fans are not making it up when they say how good he is. Pick another player to smack talk about.

TOP is determined by the coaches. Doug Marrone and Nathaniel Hackett decided to eat the clock by calling Leonard Fournette's number. It is not rocket science.

Tinhorns were the division champs the last 2 years and since they got smacked they suck lol. Naw the jags have arrived now. Watt had what, 1 tackle lol. Jags will be 11-5 minimum this year. Tacks will win third place and go 4-12.

Ramsey will mug Davis all day lol. Decker will look lost against Bouye. This is not shaping up well for the tacks.

@VondyP @Hammer @SDM

Remember that time the Titans put a beat down on the Bucs week 1, then went on to a 3 win season? ... this feels like that for the Jags

Division has been a complete disaster for years. The halfway competent teams (Texans and Colts) have benefited from this. If they had been in an actual competitive division they'd have been just another mediocre team. "AFC-S Division Champs" hasn't really carried a lot of prestige in recent years.

The one problematic word in the first part of your response is "nearly."

Last time our QB played against you, he barely completed 26-38, at one point going 15-16.

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!

Garbage as expected. Hated that signing from day 1. Adding Jagrags castoffs definitely isn't the proper way to build a roster.

We can tell Vondy is almost always wrong. So is Hammer. They are doing a great job making stuff up to convince themselves the Jaguars don't have any special players.

It is a foregone conclusion the Colts will finish last. Andrew Luck is likely out until October. I hope it is not necessary, but it would be exciting for the Jaguars to win the AFC South up in Nashville on New Year's Eve. For now, let's just enjoy each win as it comes.

I don't think people are overlooking your offensive line. We all understand it is better than the one in Houston. The problem with Tacks fans is they overlook our defensive line.

Keyword: Bucs. This year both teams play against the Browns, Bengals, Rams, Cardinals, and 49ers, who were trash last year, and we also play against the Jets. Much easier for AFC South teams to handle, don't you think?
