The Missing Piece....Matt Jones

#1

This team is set to make a playoff run however what's missing is one missing piece which would have titled it over the edge...

Matt Jones

Matt Jones is arguably the jaguars top 4 receivers all time and would have made a huge difference in this offense.

He was a beast at getting first downs. He was a chain mover. he was a big receiver threat...

I would rather have Matt Jones over any other prior Jaguars WR on this team and I would guarantee AFC Tittle

Nice blast from the past. Matt could have had a nice career if it wasn't for: 1. being soft and 2. drug use.

Matt Jones was on his way to be a Pro Bowl career but Del Rio had a personal vendetta against him because his daughter liked Matt.

He purposely drew up plays that didn't feature Matt and eventually cut him.

I think with 6 more years he would have surpassed Keenan as our #2 receiver.

Me too.  Matt Jones was ahead of his time.  He pioneered the one hand catch.  Now everybody's doing it.

Forget MJ. Where's Blackmon at nowadays?

Matt Jones was awesome but in the end he would break your heart, like in the AFCDG vs. undefeated NE. He didn't seem to care much about anything, even at Arkansas. He slept through a tornado that took half his bedroom away.

He clearly only needed the half he was sleeping in.

Blackmon recently completed his probation conditions.  It would not shock me to see him apply for reinstatement, but then end up on a CFL roster.

I remember a fumble happening right in front of Matt Jones. He literally stood there and just watched as players eventually passed him en route to try and recover the fumble. Matt Jones wanted to be a basketball player and lacked passion for the game of football. He was never a true football player in his heart.
