Why does size matter so much?

Quote:So you are saying the quarterback and receiver should be a similar height - either both short or both tall. Cam Newton and Steve Smith beg to differ.

The height of your QB does not dictate the height of your receivers in any way, shape or form.

Toniu Fonoti, maybe, who famously tipped the scales at over 400 lbs.? Aaron Gibson also broke 400, and I believe Andre Gurode was regarded as having gotten too big at times.

Quote:Lol, Pirkster wishes he is big like Teddy.

LOL, most high schoolers are bigger than teddy.

Don't cry when he looks like the child he is at the combine.  That is... IF he goes...  If I had his build, I'd certainly skip it.

That's .....not exactly what I meant by "big".

We'll just have to take your word for it, then.

Quote:A QB who is smaller may pat his balls a lot more if he isnt wearing protection to get a good grip and release.

You seem to know a great deal about smaller guys patting their balls before release........

When you get into the endzone, act like you've been there before.

Jameis Winston is 6'4, 230.

Johnny Manziel is (maybe) 6'0, 210.

Imagine the Jaguars in a Wild Card game, or a conference championship, or heck even the Super Bowl.

Who's going to make the plays necessary to win the game?

Who would you rather have?

Now tell me that size matters.

Yeah ladies. What's big?

If Bridgewater is drafted 1st or 2nd overall, size won't matter.  He'll have a big paycheck.  So long as you have something on the side of your pants, the front won't matter.  You gotta have one of them though.

75

Hopefully they say 6 is decent...

Quote:Jamies_fried, what about big QB?

The bigger the hand the better grip and release they have. If it comes out quick the receiver better be ready.

No, all im saying is if they are both relatively the same height it makes things easier.

Im a taller guy.

What I like to do from time to time is if im with my wife and we playing catch in the back yard, she will know to drop to her knees when I get ready to release some balls (passes) with juice on them. Simple timing, thats all.

Whether someone has a liberal, or conservative viewpoint, a authoritative figure should not lock a thread for the sole purpose to get the last word in all the while prohibiting someone else from being able to respond.

Six feet is nine inches taller than me, so I have a hard time seeing how that is short.

Holster, you are SO in.
I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

Because they are not going to be drafted the same year and you don't even know how big Johnny Manziel is, that is a stupid question.

Why not wait until the NFL Combine, when we will know exactly how tall Manziel is and how big his hands are?

Sounds like you have a firm grip on your own situation.

Yeah, Deacon, what do you mean by that? I'm as confused as JW.

What I meant was that if he wanted to consider himself "not small", and there are some people who do wish for exactly that, then he is good! Especially seeing as how JW would have a hard time thinking of him that way.

Most of the time my experiences on this MB have disappointed me.  Participating in this thread is not one of those times.

Far from it......goodness gracious,
