It's more about fixing the run defense vs how awesome AP is. Good lord Hurricane. Ease up

In his last game he rushed for 21 yards.

Ok, I'm thinking the Tampa game. He went for 134 and 2. It shows he still can get loose. Some guys are acting like he's not dangerous at all. Either way, I hope we fix this run defense.

Do you verify anything before posting?

Maybe you should get into the habit of verifying things (anything) before you post man.

Cincy next. Tough game. Good runners, good coach, good QB, great WR, good defense. A hard one coming. And in Jax soil. Cincy next. Make it happen fellows, Go Jags.

Ain't much fixing going on during the season. Guys have to play better gap control and make the tackle.
They kinda are what they are. Yeah we got some tough RBs comin up... but we can give up a little yardage between the 20s. We just can't afford to let anyone, AP or otherwise, break 75 yarders on us.

Cover one, man to man
Sellout against the run
Force Stanton to make a throw.

I think that pretty much sums up why the run defense hasn't matched the efforts of the pass rush or coverage.  Poz isn't out there nearly as much as we need in order to handle the run.  I think the team will eventually clean this up, but it continues to be a source of frustration to see teams breaking big runs several times a game because of the personnel we have on the field in any given situation.  Then, you look at the play and realize 51 isn't out there, and you see him almost jumping out of his skin on the sideline.
Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

The Cards don't have Bilel Powel

Did anyone else ever look at Bilel Powel rushing yards by game?

I think everyone knows this is an issue. We have held only one team to under 4 yards per carry and that was Pittsburg. It appears we are getting slightly better at it as the weeks go on. Jags need to get the average down for sure. But with out good our secondary has been other teams have been one dimensional which is good.

I like the way you said this. Bend but don't break. When it counts, make a play.

I also agree we got the guys to do it. Just be more discipline.

Here's the kicker...Adrian Peterson is up next. No, he's not in his prime, but he's doing what Taylor did at the end of his career. Dude can still run.

With Palmer out, do you think we sell out to stop the run?

I thought every Jaguars fan knew the Bengals are next and we don't go to Arizona until Week 12.

That's my bad fellas.

The thread was really in hopes that we focus on the run and get that fixed before AP comes to town. And before we make this playoff push.

Apparently you still have not verified the schedule. Arizona is a road game.

"Before we make this playoff push" is now. After Thanksgiving, we are already in it.

I haven't had much of an issue with the run defense lately since we picked up Dareus. Most of that was earlier in the year when we just got gashed.
No pain, no gain.

I hope Gabbert is still on the team then. He might finally win a game in Jacksonville.
