Dareus to Jags

HOLY moly.

[BLEEP] love this move. That defense is incredible already and we just shored up our biggest hole.

Half thinking here, I wonder does he have some kind of upcoming court case?

You cant have enough depth on the D-Line... Abrey Jones and Malik Jackson were already getting it done... He is also unique from what we already have so it adds flexibility to the schemes were are able to run... this is a huge get.

I cant believe how we got him for a 6th.. can someone tell me the remaing years and money on his contract?

Dareus is one of the top DTs in the league when healthy and motivated.. hes healthy.. and he now has to be motivated to play for a D like ours

As long as we dont get cap tied by this, this is an unreal steal and shores up our run D weakness. Amazing

Google.

Also, he’s a DT from Buffalo. At one point he was considered the best DT and signed a monster deal. Good against both the run and pass. Just more warm bodies on the best DLine in football.

I doubt that, I think he starts over Jones within a few weeks.

This is amazing. A dominant run stuffer with great pass rush from the interior. Caldwell and Coughlin ain’t playing

They've wanted his albatross contract off the books for a while now. Buffalo has viewed him as Hansworth 2.0 since he got his extension. It's not a huge gamble for us since it really only eats away our cap space. We likely think Campbell and the rest of our D can get him playing the way he used to play.

5.7 mil. this year and almost doubles next year.  But I could see him reworking his contract next year if he love it here and I think he will.  He reunites with Marrone as well

Sorry. I think I meant more fresh bodies. They can continue to bring in guys who are fresh to rush the passer.

Side note: does this have anything to do with Malik? Heard he’s been playing injured all season.

Malik Jackson injured his groin during the first half of the Titans game and did not return. The next two weeks he was questionable on the injury reports.

If Marcell Dareus can play nose tackle, I am all for it. We need a run stopper.

Makes $6 million this season and $10 million next season. $21 million in dead cap if cut this offseason, but less than $8 million if cut after 2018 season.

Barring some cuts/restructures, we've lost a lot of money that would have made us big time players next offseason, so likely gone are the days of 2016/2017 free agency.

Yeah I think Hobbs, Coughlin, Doug and Campbell can get him motivated.

Campbell is gonna have this guy motivated. You can believe that. Not only does Campbell have 10 sacks, he is the ultimate leader.

I think they can too, which I why I'm a big fan of the deal.

Dude was an elite player a couple years ago, it's a STEAL if they can get him back to playing like that.

The Buffalo Bills have traded defensive tackle Marcell Dareus to the Jacksonville Jaguars. In exchange, the Bills are receiving a 2018 sixth-round pick.

His best years were when he played for Marrone so this is an awesome move. What I want to know is he an upgrade against the run?

LOL I know Marcell Dareus played on Buffalo's defense and suspended for failing a drug test last year. There have been past rumors about his relationship with the Bills.
