In reference to Doug, I heard he didn’t want EJ Manuel and your silly owner made it happen anayway. He also wrote a clause in the contract that he could opt out at anytime and still make all his money. What is it with you guys paying for players and coaches and go aren’t even there anymore. What ACTUALLY happened, is the team was sold. He had an uncertain future.
This wasn't a surprise, and a lot of people didn't know what would happen. It was more an escape clause incase the team moved.
His agent decided to pull a fast one used this clause to make his client more $$. He could get outand get paid, BUT he also had bad info in that the Jets REALLY wanted him and if he opted out he would be a shoe in for the Jets job. He opted out for his $$ and then had a poor interview. 
Woody started talking to people in the Bills organization and realized if all these people had such terrible things to say about him AS WELL AS he was that willing to jump ship... maybe he should steer clear.
Thus, he overplayed his hand and ended up as an ast in JAX.
Qb situation is totally different and he didn't want ej...but Whaley did. They got Orton as insurance and ej was benched after a few games. Nothing to do w him leaving etc.
So, although I appreciate your revisionist history,  stick with revising your teams and heed my previous advice.

It appears it was either due to the ridiculous trade for Watkins but most likely he left because he was not solid on EJ Manuel. He had a clause in his contract to leave and when he didn't like the direction of the team, he left. 

The Jets stuff may have been a contributing factor but it appears the reason he left was the poor decision by the front office to draft either one of these players or possibly both.

But again... those players you compare this to were from a different era, didn't have the issues md does, obided by different rules and are just not at all the same thing. Here's the thing. I knew this from the get - which is why I tried keeping everything from a Bills point of view going back to my initial posts 10 pages ago...
The other side of the coin is no fun.
When we hired Rex, everyone (including myself) was excited. 
He was gonna fight for the everyman and said all the right things. 
Hook, line, and sinker. 
By nature this league is full of retreads and your only as good as your last accomplishment due to the what have you done for me lately attitude of the league. 
Jets fans warned Bills fans that the antics get old and after a while he's left with his **** in his hand looking like a fool.
It's human nature to get excited about your team as you naturally get excited and jazzed about new exciting things.
I didn't wanna heed some jets fans warning. 
I didn't care what he did in N.Y. bc this is now. 
That said, I totally got where jets fan is coming from and although more often than not history repeats itself jets fan can only speak to what happened with the Jets.
Maybe the disappointment wouldn't have stung so muchhad I have listened- but that was then and Rex was here now.

Now, there was no way to know from the get. Things started out promising and didn't really get BAD until yr #2.

Bc someone told you how it was IN BUFFALO? People were asking why he was traded. I gave an answer. And boom, now people start jumping on the Bills and aimed it at me.
It came off as overly defensive (and in turn turned offensive).
I think marrone would have been different here if he had a bit smaller headand try to run the whole show. He didn't let the gm do his thing and didn't stick to what he was hired to do - coach.
You guys have TC, who seems like he wouldn't deal with the ego and in turn I'd guess wouldn't have gone alone w him if he didn't know his place. I'd also guess that his fall from grace knocked him down a peg.... but again, I'm not down there so you'd know better than I.
