Buffalo is a cold, dreary, depressing place... he just needs to get back in the south where he belongs to get his life back in order.

I was thinking this as well. Hopefully with a change to more familiar climate and scenery along with a personnel change, he will be more productive.

Realizing he doesn't have to pay New York state income taxes on his weekly paychecks for home games should also help.

If I'm calculating this, next year he's set to make a base salary of $9,925,000. His weekly game check is 1/17th of this amount. Apply an 8.82 percent income tax, and that works out to $51,493 in taxes for each game he would have played in New York.

It was also discussed he was given every chance to succeed in THIS 'new change of scheme' going BACK to a 4-3.... and he couldnt figure out a way to sniff the field.

He might just fit better in the Jaguars scheme. Wash's defense is based in the Seattle scheme wherein they employ a 4-3 look, but at Dareus' spot they basically look to plug in a 3-4 NT. Dareus' ability to pass rush is icing on top of what they even need there and may actually take double teams off the other guys.

I'm curious, when Hackett was here - he got totally dragged over the coals.
It was looked at as DM was rewarding him for being a good soldier during the SU days and he took some serious crap.
The reason being however, he called some TERRIBLE games. Just as vanilla as can be with no suprises. run run pass with nothing creative.
Has this improved I hope? I wouldnt wish that frustration on anyone.
When he left, I think more people were happy that it meant the end of good ol'Nathaniel more than anything else.

The playcalling from Marrone has been largely very good in his time here. Especially considering hes's been doing it with a mostly one dimensional offense. 

I can understand why your perception of Marrone and Hackett would be so colored, but they are both making lots of believers out of a large number of fans that were not originally happy about them being hired/retained here. 

Three of the four wins by the Jags have actually featured some very smart game-planning and playcalling IMO. 
Exploiting weaknesses and/or keeping a defense off balance with a bit of smoke and mirrors seem to come fairly easy to this staff compared to many others I've observed closely.

I could be wrong, but I don't believe Marrone has ever called the plays.

Definitely not the Bills of the south - but we've managed to find some good contribution from their cast offs.

I meant "Hackett."  Although - it's important to note that Marrone (unlike Bradley) does sign off on every play call from his OC and often consults/intervenes when he doesn't like the call being made.

Of course - every time a HC gets a new gig - he typically brings along several of "his guys."

Did they miss Darues? No idea. If he was on the roster he probably wouldnt have been out there anyway, or 20-30% of snaps which isnt enough to make much of a difference unless of course he does... but frankly that just hadn't been happening. Their run D lives and dies by whats been out there for the majority and MD just wasnt a part of that.
They just need to own the loss and come back. Benji hopefully at the very least changes the way the box is stacked and if it dosent then they need to take advantage. Last night was WEIRD. Matthews caused himself to fumble, Oleary was a second away to just tossing a live ball to a ref, refs were too involved in calling ticky tack stuff both ways and not calling egregious maulings, onside kick recovered but offsides (but not really) and then another recovery after the penalty. Josh Freakin McCown rushing for TDs . Games like this happen...ESPECIALLY in the NFL. I feel like its more about how they respond than what happened last night.

Being originally from CT. Jets are more hostile, giants are more bragging. And the bills were just there.  So I don't see it either.  But pats fans are know it all.  But yea all four are Definatly very passionate about their teams. 

Which when came to Jax was a huge change.  Cause relaxed and while passionate still peaceful.  

We were the worst though.  As an Eagles fan prior to Jags existance.   Were very hostile as well. (However football based not just cause)  So can see any ones hate for all of them.

But on same token. Up north is not college based when comes to football and is NFL based.

  So if ya take the same kind of passion or hate as many down south in the college game.  Can begin to understand.

For me, that's the result of my buddy.  Were he not so obnoxious, predictable and ridiculously homerish in his stream of consciousness rants, I would otherwise have no reason to hate the Bills.
