My feelings after the Chargers game..
|
We pulled out all the stops today. The refs had it out for us. The offensive line was horrible. The Chargers could do whatever they wanted for a bit on offense. Poor effort and tackling led to their second TD. Marcedes Lewis ignored his blocking assignment on the blocked game winning FG that still went in luckily. We have injury issues. It felt a lot like the Rams game minus the costly special teams errors. We know it won't always be pretty but that was darn ugly. Untimely and just down right stupid penalties and interceptions at crunch time should have cost us the game. Add in the refs hosing us every chance they had and we really should have lost this game. I don't want to sweep glaring issues under the rug just because we won. Marqise Lee and a few other players need to stop letting their emotions get the best of them and doing stupid taunting and celebration penalties. I thought we had good discipline but apparently not since last week.
No pain, no gain.

An 8-8 record could realistically be enough to get into the playoffs as the final AFC Wildcard. Other than the Browns, the other 15 teams have at least a snowball's chance. The Chargers probably have more than that because of the talent on their roster.
