Wow, now the Texans might be getting Munchak as a mere position coach...

Quote:I agree about your outlooks on both Kubiak and Munchak as HC's. Gary Kubiak does indeed seem better suited to be an Offensive Coordinator or QB Coach than a Head Coach. As long as Kubiak has his health issues behind him, his services should be in demand for at least one of those roles. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
"Too many hands in the pot, spoil the broth."
I think O'Brien is making a big mistake by hiring all of these ex-head coaches. Crennel and now Munchak? Who's really going to be running the show when its all said and done? There's going to be lots of egos in the coaches room and if O'Brien doesn't have a early, firm grasp on his team I predict there will be lots of dysfunction to follow.

I understand your concern, but there is absolutely nothing the Jaguars can do to stop Houston from hiring these guys.
All they can do is just keep improving themselves. Every big name starts off a little name.
Quote:Well, whether you care or not, the magnitude that the Texans do get better has an impact on just how successful of a record that the Jaguars will get, being that they are in the same division. And if that were to happen you would whine endlessly how the Jags only won because they're in a weak division, etc. etc. We show less advertisements to registered users. Quote: Yeah, what happened to Bruce Matthews? He could show Luke and Jake a couple of things here.

Looking more likely he joins the Texans. Detroit hired Caldwell as head coach, and based on the news it's not likely the Browns choose him. I'll be interesting to see if Bruce Matthews comes along as an OC assistant.

Can we leave the personal insults behind for a while and get back to some semblance of topic, gents? Please, and thank you.
Well all that overreaction for nothing. Munchak is now the Steelers O-Line coach.
I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

Heard Vince Lombardi has requested permission from God to return to the living and help coach the Texans.
Just wait until the offseason with someone once again declares them the paper superbowl champs and TMD goes crazy.

Quote: Imagine if the Bengals were in a tough division. They'd likely be looking to move on from Andy Dalton right now. As well as Marvin Lewis.Uh,, the Bengals have been in a tough division for quite a while. Granted, I'll give you this season with Pitt and Balt being down. But, last season, the Ravens were very tough (Superbowl champs), and the Steelers were pretty good (It took Cincy knocking them out of playoff contention very late). Two seasons ago, 3 AFCN teams made the playoffs. Before this year, Ravens were in playoffs 5 straight seasons (Bengals were also in them during 3 of those, winning the division in '09). The AFCN has been very tough until recently. Quote:Another failed thread. LOLhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QQ6rD0H17l8

Quote:Another failed thread. LOL Failed? BzzzzzzzT. WRONG. I said in the thread TITLE that he "might" be going to the Texans, and provided information supporting that premise. In the end it didn't happen and he went elsewhere. You mad??? You want the Texans to get good coaches?? I don't. I'm happy to see that Munchak took that same position elsewhere than in our division.
I thought this was a Jaguars' message board.
Weird. Maybe I misunderstood the premise. ![]()
Phewf!
Glad I got all of that panicking out of the way before he got hired by someone other than the Texans. That was close. I almost didn't get to panic at all. |
