How about this stat for Bortles- 2nd All Time Yards Per Run
|
I'd like to note that nobody has said he's a better runner, but that he has the second most yards per run. Stop building your strawman and learn to read.

You do realize that his ypc.is 4.8 not even top ten. But also he has over 500 more carriers then bortles. No one is saying bortles is a.better scrambler then.vick and Cunningham, but carreer ypc he is almost a 2 more ypc.
Cunningham had designed bootlegs, bortles doesn't.lets give blake 7 more years than compare.

My point is Bortles is not a running QB. But he has to cause is not very accurate.
And that stat on carries is invalid as well. Once he left the eagles he had no choice but to be a pure pocket passer. Cause in those days defenders could actually hit and was brutal. What they can't do now a days. And. Cunningham had several knee surgeries due to that fact. If Bortles tried that back in the day like today. He would t be around long. I love when people throw in all time stats. And don't realize the game today is basically one step down from two hand touch. Compared to the nastiest hits ever back in the day. And call that valid. All these excuses for Blake when is not a good QB. Not a good runner nor passer. But it is what it is. And hopefully he finds some spark come playoff time.

Not a very good quarterback overall, but he has shown the ability to make plays with his legs on a number of occasion9. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Just curious, what is this list based off? Like a certain amount of games or a certain amount of attempts? If so, how many?

If so, how many? Yeah, I understood that but I'm saying what's the cut off for how this list was made? Like let's say Garoppolo only runs twice this weekend but he averages 10 yards on those 2 carries...would he make this list? So my question is, how many games is this based out of or how many carries per attempt? It's a great stat and I'm glad you came up with it, just was curious on that part. Well it's week 13, and we should be playoff bound. His throwing tendencies probably are not changing in the next couple months, so I'm willing to take whatever positives we can get.

Sports reference do 6 rushing attempts per game as the minimum to make the list. Think you have to have 300 carries minimum as well. Not sure what the official NFL stats use.
Cunningham was the better QB but Michael Vick was a freak.
Vick often times was the fastest player on the football field. Explosive play making ability. It is also ironic Vick suffered from the same things that Bortles have. Vick had a a rocket of an arm but accuracy he had not. His career completion percentage is 56.2. Blake Bortles is a little higher at 58.7. A good range for an nfl QB is normally above 63 percent. ![]() We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
