Did Manti Te'o measure exactly 6-1 at the combine? Because TAMU lied about Johnny Manziel's height, Notre Dame could have lied about Manti's height.

 

Assuming Te'o really is 6-1, I would guess Manziel is six feet even.

Chris Paul measured 5'11.75" at the NBA combine in 2005 and is listed as 6'0". He is basically the same height as Manziel in the pictures.

I understand rounding up a quarter inch. I do that with myself because sometimes I really did measure 5-3 even though my actual height is 5-2 3/4. This can happen because gravity shrinks the small spaces between your bones so you are taller in the morning. What drives me crazy is people say Johnny Manziel is a full inch taller than he is, which is impossible no matter what time he is measured.

 

Maybe we should just call him 6 feet with his shoes on.

Level of opponent? It's huge! I mean, sometimes they'll will just swallow you up and you may feel like you're not even making an impact. Other times, they are holding so tight you wonder how you'll ever get through.

Some guys can take pills, but it will catch up with them in the long run.

What is the purpose of measuring them twice?

 

That works in the NBA because the players wear flat shoes. In the NFL, weather and field conditions can force players to wear shoes with bigger cleats for better traction.

Maybe it is just me but I think each of those three sentences deserves its own thread. Falling apart in the second half, playing through injuries, and the importance of playing against a weak opponent are all good topics for the NFL At Large forum. But your question does make me think of something relevant here: How important is the size of an opposing player?

Must be that new weight training program...

I believe that information came from the BLESTO scouting report.

He's listed at 6'3" tall and 205 pounds on his Louisville bio page, however ESPN lists him at 6'3" and 196 pounds. BLESTO scouting service lists Bridgewater at 6'2" and 220 pounds.

If one source says 6-2 and another says 6-3, chances are Teddy is slightly over 6-2.  I can live with that. But that is a big weight difference so to know if he is 196 or 220, we must look at the date each article was written.

 

We can all agree 6-3, 220 is big enough for a quarterback. If Teddy only weighs 196 pounds, however, would you worry as much about him getting hurt as a shorter QB?
