If he's going to stand there and challenge the fans to do it, there are plenty of drunks in the stands who will take him up on it.

This kind of behavior in the stands should not be shrugged off by posters. Jacksonville had a chance to shine, with a great players on the field, and a loud energetic crowd. We want to show the NFL that Seattle is not the only place that has a valuable 12th man. Instead, because of a few incidences, we come off looking like Philly fans.

I've always said that Jags fans are the best fans in the league, because despite a decade of misery, they show up and support the team. What happened yesterday is not the kind of support we need.

Ignoring the OP, since he's clearly a troll, here's my take: I do not condone fans throwing anything on the field. I find it funny, though, that the fans literally watched Bennett get ejected one play earlier and didn't throw anything at him. This is a guy that tried to injure one of our best offensive linemen off the snap, wrestles him down and throws punches. He's escorted out the same tunnel with no issues. The fans were content to let the refs punish Bennett. However, when we go for our second victory formation and watch the same thing happen again, I am going to be much more understanding of fans not tolerating that kind of behavior. We are probably going to the playoffs for the first time in forever, and these Seahawk players are trying to hurt our guys after they've lost? There's no room in football for that.

Getting a couple drops of beer splatter on you is nothing in relation to his actions on the field (the original drink that was tossed missed him by a mile, and he barely even got wet). Then he goes and runs his mouth to the fans. I don't care if they all throw stuff on him at that point. He's failed to demonstrate professionalism in every way. He shouldn't have tried to hurt our players. He shouldn't be talking trash to the fans. Again, I don't condone throwing beer at players, but I surely don't think it was undeserved.

For the record, I don't think fans should have to check to see if the opposing player has kids prior to throwing beer on him.   That's a lot of effort and certainly detracts from the spontaneity of the action.

If Seattle did this anywhere else, it would have been a lot worse than a few beers and plastic bottles.
Ny, Philly, Baltimore, Pitt etc. wouldve unleashed hell on Richardson and then even worse on Jefferson.

There is no pride in trying to intentionally injure a player after the whistle and when the game is in hand (victory formation)...Jaguar players have families and children too.

I'll explain why it was "ok" to throw beer when:
1.) You get the douche bag Bennett to own up instead of saying "I don't have to answer"
2.) You explain to me why you are so worked up over "beer throwing" yet not about the player you probably have  jersey of trying to end a man's season/career on purpose.

This is so messed up...you are mad about a player getting wet with beer but not about one you support trying to injure people...think about that.

You should be embarrassed but not for the beer throwing...it should be that you support Bennett...probably wore his jersey to school today.

I shouldn't be embarrassed because I don't own a jersey with the name of one of those "beer throwing fans"  I don't watch the fans...I watch the Jags and they whooped the Hawks for 60 minutes and didn't act like douches...they could have went after Bennett's knees but they didn't.

That is exactly what the Seahawks are about tho...either you aren't really a fan of theirs or you are just blinded by homerism but "your" team is known for this kind of BS.

The way I see it is from a lesson that was taught to me a long time ago. It goes as follows:

"I cannot control what others do, but they must deal with their consequences. I can control what I do, and I must deal with my consequences."

What Bennett and Richardson did to get themselves ejected from the game really has nothing to do with Joe Fan in the stands. Yes, he was upset emotionally but his decision to act or not act is entirely upon him. I do not condone what happened on the field but I also do not believe that those actions are an excuse for acting in a boorish manner.

Alright folks let me clear this up. I could clearly see that jefferson was very tired and thirsty after the low down dirty stinking tactics he deployed at the end of the game . As a human with compassion and knowing that the man had children at home seeing their daddy so thirsty and dehydrated I could not in good conscience let him leave the field in such a sad state of despair. I simply tried to help him out with some delicious ice cold flavorful drink. Hope this clears up any misconceptions of our wonderful fan base. Thank you for listening.
