What would you consider our second biggest need? If we don't resign MJD I would have to say RB, followed by Center.

Pass rush is by far our second biggest need. It's 1b really. Almost as important as the QB itself.

For this reason I could see us going QB in 1 and RB or WR in 2. Mason looks like a good prospect, but there are a few RBs and WRs that I wouldn't mind if they slid to 39.

I like Mason, but this is a pretty deep RB draft. I'm waiting till at least 3rd round for a RB, I think.

Yeah, and unfortunately they said RB was going to be a priority in the draft, too. As I've said many times already, hopefully that just means double dipping w/ later prospects and not spending a day 2 pick on one of the overrated RB there instead of one of the higher graded WR that will undoubtedly be there in my mind.

Are you going to draft a center or guard in the 2nd? You can still take a RB in the 2nd and an interior OL in a later round.

I think Todman could be pretty good. I am not entirely sold on Blackmon and Ball at the CB spot, definitely not sold on Uche and Rackley at the guard, and we have no real LEO for the future. Those are all much bigger needs than a RB.

I agree, but this RB better be comfortably the top player left on your board...and Mason/Hyde/Lache/Sims/Carey/etc just isn't going to be even close to that. Melvin Gordon could have been but alas...

Completely agree.  Affecting the opponents QB is equally as important as having good QB play.

 

It was mentioned in the college championship games, and we'll continue to hear it throughout the playoffs.
