Didn't hurt the Bengals or the Dolphins.

Sure it did. It made Andy Dalton choke on wild card weekend. It was 100% because of Hard Knocks. If they hadn't done the show, Geno Atkins wouldn't have gotten hurt and Dalton wouldn't have been a turnover machine against San Diego. All of their foes clearly go back to their decision to do Hard Knocks. Isn't that clear?

Because it promotes the Jaguars and the City, that's why.  I always find it odd how people always think only one thing can be accomplished at one time.  How would this world keep spinning if we could only focus on one thing at a time before moving onto the next.  We would still be in the stone ages if we worked like that.

As others have pointed out, the Bengals did just fine in 2013 and they were on it.

But the cameras will suck out our superbowl chances.

The notion that this would be a distraction is really off target.  When NFL Films did Jaguar Summer here several years ago, it didn't distract the team one bit.

I'm sure for a lot of the guys, it was a welcome distraction to have NFL Films there to break up the monotony of training camp.  Well, at least for most of the players.  I'm pretty sure Who Douglas didn't appreciate walking the plank on camera.  But gosh, that sure was entertaining for the rest of us.

This team would benefit from being on a show like this.  You'd see Gus Bradley elevated to near rock star status based on his coaching style, especially if the team responded by having a better than expected year.

Gus Bradley by himself would gain us a ton of new fans if we were to appear on Hard Knocks.. The guy has a contagious  personality.

The other seven would have to turn it down first...

I was on a flight with Gus & Ms Gus on the way back from an undisclosed Caribbean nation Thursday. Dude just seethes enthusiasm, so infectious.

This is important? Why doesn't he trying entering the stadium on a zip line?

I was about to post the same exact thing.

Can we focus on building our Offensive and Defensive lines first before we jump ship into reality TV?

Having the Jags shown on HBO doesnt get people to the stadium or improve the brand. Winning does that.

Again, it doesn't have to be one or the other.  You can focus on building your offense and defensive lines and be on a TV show.  People make way too big of a deal about it being a distraction.

As far as I know, this year we don't have a choice.  If a team doesn't volunteer and the NFL says the Jaguars have to be on the show, the Jaguars HAVE to be on the show

I don't think it's as big of a deal as people make it out to be.  It's not like they don't have camera's and media people around them all the time now anyways.  I'd love to get some inside looks at how Gus and the other coaches are on a daily basis.

They can't do both?

Who cares about distraction, never mind,  I forgot this team is beating on the playoffs doors lol.  I would love to watch it personally.

If it was a show like SoundFX on NFL Network where they actually show the pregame prep conversations and in game sounds and actions from the team sidelines I would enjoy it more.

Im not looking at it from a distraction standpoint. The actual concept is what I find to be a bit lacking. If they are more creative unlike the last few seasons (and including the time they was here) it would get more viewership.

Yes they can.

I wonder if coaches have the final say during the editing process on what can and cannot be aired.

The way its fixing up, I think the Jags will be on the show this upcoming season. Between Khan, Bradley's personality and the Jags curent situation of not being a playoff team, all the factors are lining up that way.

I am pretty sure if Khan wanted to do it, Goddell would let him do it since he is in his good graces for being the guinea pig for "London's team".
