What I want to know is, where did the fiscally responsible right go?  I was kind of hoping they would attack this fiscal mess we have, with the country going deeper and deeper into debt, but once they got in power, all that big talk about fiscal responsibility evaporated.

Trump has proposed a tax plan that'll likely stimulate economic growth. This isn't a 1-year fix, and you know that.

I find it hard to believe that you don't think Trump is taking that seriously. My guess is that he wanted the tax cuts to take place so that he can get more support going forward. All of the Democrats are being difficult, and many of the Republicans were doing it too. When people realize their savings, my guess is that he'll get more support from voters and then congress.

He's spent less than Obama, but only because the golf at Mar-a-Lago is comped.

Sorry man, I absolutely could not resist.

So, the challenge was, find examples of "you people" (which is kind of vague, but nonetheless..) complaining about Obama's travel expenses.  So if you google, "Obama travel expenses fox news" it takes all of about 20 seconds to find a complaint from the right about Obama's travel expenses.

"President Barack Obama's vacation travel costs during his eight-year presidency have totaled more than $96 million, according to a report by Judicial Watch.
The government watchdog foundation said it filed two separate Freedom of Information Act lawsuits for Secret Service costs related to the Obama family's travel.

"The costs totaled $96,938,882.51 over the past eight years, according to documents Judicial Watch received from the Secret Service and the U.S. Air Force.
"President-elect Trump can immediately save taxpayers money by reforming presidential travel," Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said.

"The Obamas' notorious abuse of presidential travel perks wasted military resources and stressed the Secret Service. Judicial Watch estimates that the final costs of Obama’s unnecessary vacation and political travel will well exceed $100 million."

I took "you people' to mean posters on this board. Sure, if you stretch the term "you people" to mean "everyone in the US" then it's easy to find an example of anything you want to complain about being said.

When did they ever exist? Neither party is interested in reducing the size of government, it's merely a rock to throw when the voters put the other side in the glass house. The only way debt reduction is mentioned is as a scare tactic to win votes.

Mrs. Trump seems to be a very private person in her own way and probably does not want a bunch of staff fretting over her. Her background would suggest she is quite capable of looking after herself.

As for the argument over spending money for travel, they all do it and there appears to be no way to get them to scale back.

Is the newly fiscally responsible left complaining about the 10m accumulating bill the tax payers are racking up for the directionless Mueller "investigation"?

Didn't think so...

Just another "small government conservative" phony. You're all for big government now, aren't you?

Whoa - there goes Trey Gowdy to another Benghazi hearing. And I'm sure you don't mind that the tab is still running on all the phony get Hillary investigations. How's that "unmasking" witch hunt going? Don't hear much about that anymore, do you?

What's Donald going to do when he's not running against Clinton/Obama? Get 35% support.

What have I said that implies I am for big government? Cheering a tax bill that puts more money in businesses pockets? Shunning the democrats for introducing a health package so intentionally bad and 100% intended to make people "beg" for a single payer system?

Yeah, I love me some BIG government!

P.S. the democrats don't even have a viable candidate. When millions of democrats realize they were lied to about the tax reform bill next month, they are in deep poo.

FTFY, since you apparently don't understand who the really big winners from the tax cuts happen to be.

You're becoming quite the model Trumpette, with your cute nicknames and such.

Then explain who the "winners" are because 80% of Americans just got a tax cut.

I wonder if the 80-20 rule holds here. Or if the cuts even get to that point.

Sure, when you explain why you omitted two key words.

It can't, the bottom 50% of Americans paid 2.7% of the Income Taxes last year. Because of RINOs like Rubio those people in the bottom half aren't getting a tax cut, they're getting a tax appropriation in the form of an even larger negative tax rate. They pay no taxes but still get 3k to 5k "back" from the Feds in the Spring.

For some reason people like RJ like it when the people who pay taxes have their money redistributed to those who don't, and they REALLY don't like it when the people who actually pay taxes don't have to pay as much.

And there's your problem, you think that because things are good for the wealthy they are necessarily bad for the poor. You are handicapped by your inability to see that the rising tide lifts all boats. Sad.

You can't just reply to someone, can you? You have to ask a question or make the other person answer your question.

The point of my question remains the same.

Who are the "really big winners"? Those that experience the biggest percentage tax cuts aren't the rich. You make it sound like it was.

"Faux-cahontas" predated Trump. Maybe you can explain how a white person who cheated the system (the system the Dems set up to help minorities) to get ahead, and take a spot that should have been set aside for a real minority, is a favorite among the Dems?

I'm not sure about "Handsy Joe." I always heard him called "Crazy Uncle Joe." In any case the guy is an incompetent loon who made Dan Quayle look like a Rhodes Scholar.

But considering the Dems nominated a woman who sold US foreign policy for personal gain, both of them are an improvement.

It's only discrimination if you have a certain letter next to your name.

Joe is a creep. There are so many videos online that show how perverse and predatory he is with young girls. It's disturbing and no one says anything.
