Yeah, but you were a much better coach than Mularkey.  I like our chances this time around.

First of all, it's a no-brainer that the Jags should do everything in their power to eliminate the Titans on Sunday. This is probably your number 1 hated rival after what happened in 1999 and you want to take them out in front of their fans. It will also give the Jags momentum going into the playoffs rather than coming off of 2 straight losses. I believe the Jags are definitely a superior team than the Titans at this point of the season and should be able to win this game. If I were Coach Marrone, I'd still sit any key Jaguars who are significantly ailing. That would include Fournette, Robinson, Hurns and Lee IF another week of rest will help them heal for the first playoff game. They will especially need Fournette, Robinson and Lee to be close to 100% to beat either the Titans or Chargers in Round 1 so it's not worth the risk of getting any of them more banged up, especially Robinson.

Personally, I see no way these Titans can beat the Jags 2 more times this season. They are nothing like the 1999 Titans and Mariotta is not playing well. Even if the Titans win this week, I see the Jags blowing the Titans out the following week. On the other hand, the Chargers really scare me. I know the Jags beat them earlier this season, but they are a dangerous team- especially with Bosa and Ingram pressuring Bortles. And if Wells must play for Robinson, I really think this game would be a toss-up. Therefore, the best scenerio is if somehow the Raiders upset the Chargers next week on the road and the Jags beat the Titans. I doubt the Raiders will do it after how bad they looked last night, but maybe Coach Jack will inspire is team to play hard and eliminate a division rival from the playoffs.

If we lose to Ten. and the Chiefs win next week who gets the 3 seed?

I think what a lot of people don't realize is that we could end up playing the Titans the next two weeks regardless of the outcome of this game.  Consider this.  The Jaguars will play the #6 seed in the playoffs regardless.

The Jaguars beating the Titans in week 17 doesn't really eliminate them without some help.  The Titans would still get in as the #6 seed if the Bills lose AND the Chargers lose.  It's very possible that this could happen.

Bills (8-7) are playing @ Dolphins (6-9) - Divisional game with both teams being 2-3 in their division.

Raiders (6-9) are playing @ Chargers (8-7) - Divisional game with both teams being 2-3 in their division.

As it relates to this thread the upcoming game(s) have more meaning for the Titans.  Win and they're in as the 6th seed.  Lose and they're still in if the Dolphins and Raiders play "spoilers" within their divisions.  Based on that my thinking is that the Jaguars should play to win, but only without bringing key players with nagging and/or new injuries back too early (Hurns, Lee, Fournette, Robinson).  If the Jaguars get up with a solid lead at the end of the 3rd quarter, sit many other key players.

We have the 3 seed locked up?

Let's beat the Titans and hopefully we get Buf. In the wildcard game. We matchup good against Buf. Taylor holds on to the ball way to long. Taylor is the total opposite of Jimmy G

Since this is a repeat of '99 the bills will get knocked out by the titans, only instead of a music city miracle, its a result of a titans win over the jags. 2 down 1 to go.

Marrone should be careful. Saying they are going all out to win may backfire if the titans beat the brakes off of em. Titans are starting to roll

I must say, since 1999 I’ve absolutely hated the tacks with a passion.   That’s saying something because I’m not exactly the nicest guy out there.  But I’ve gotta admit, for a tack fan “trolling” our board,  I like you.  Keep being you man.   Glad you’ve joined.

Get rid of them now. Turn Mariota into a greasy spot on his own 30 yard line, and roll out the shag carpeting from Mularkey's office to the facility exit for him. Do not let 1999 happen again.

They've gone from 8-4 to 8-7. If they're rolling, it's downhill.

Yep. If the Tacks get in they’ll be limping in.

Hey thanks. I appreciate it. I like you guys too..Well most of you.
I dont hate the jags too much. Yes you broke mariota and kept us from the playoffs but whats a division rivalry without a little heartache?

Since the topic of 1999 has come up, with most of us agreeing this year will likely be something similar, i went back and looked at your jags scores and such from that year. Holy crap them jags were good that year. To think the jags scored 62 points in a playoff game then turned around and got knocked out by the Titans i can see where that Titans hate comes from.
It definitely seemed that was your year.

This one just feels really tough. On one hand we can beat the T*tans and finally destroy that playoff hope of there's.

On the other this game has no real significance for us now looking post season wise. Other results will determine where T*tans fall but if we lose Telvin, or Ramsey then we have a real loss for our playoff run.

My main worry is at home, with something to play for, the T*tans will play tough we have to match it. We can't come out going through the motions like we did in San Fran.

Id rest any starter who could use a week off to have them fresh but otherwise I'd play the starters, try and utilise all the roster and hopefully have a healthy score in the 3rd and pull the rest.

I do think a good win, on the road to a rival would set us up nicely for playoff football.

So in conclusion, I have no idea.

As a jags fan i really don't want tittians in playoffs at all. last time ttthey were in at same time as jags tittians went to the Super Bowl. I don't want jags to lose in playoffs, but if they did i would rather it be to ravans, pats,or even the steelers. loseing to tittians in playoffs again would stink.

snowwolf titans owner in madden.

note titans owner means im undeafted againest them.

We will blow out the tacks IMO.

You play to win the game. Would love to play them in the wild card too, they suck. Philip Rivers does not suck.
