So Andrew Luck is just above-average

Quote:Every aspect of the Colts franchise since they came here from Baltimore has been built on a foundation of lies, fraud, and corruption- from Irsay Sr's lying about his military discharge to the Mayflower vans to hiring legendary college cheater Ron Meyer to Harbaugh's Christianizing on the radio and then drunkenly taking strippers home from Brad's Gold Club every weekend to Peyton running a string of waitresses that would make Tiger jealous while proclaiming himself the ultimate family man to Polian terrorizing former players and sportswriters to Dungy pimping himself as Father of The Century while ignoring his own child to the point of suicide to Irsay Jr's (allegedly lol) forging prescriptions and trying to cheat his siblings and late father's widow in business deals. And Luck being proclaimed "The Great One" regardless of his actual play is just another brick in that foundation. He received not one iota of criticism on the Colts Post Game show, in fact Barry Krauss said his performance was, I quote, "tremendously good".

I may be stuck here in Indy, but I'm thankful to be a fan of a franchise with integrity in its' DNA. Anybody who has any dealings with the Colts, and I have, unfortunately, knows what a cesspool the Colts' organization truly is.

And "great" quarterbacks don't throw seven picks in successive playoff games, sorry to say.

WOW!!!!!! You dug deep to bring out those Colts closet skeletons.

Some of them I had no idea about.

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

and tanking.

But I disagree with the Andrew Luck sentiment. He did play well yesterday. He's an aggressive thrower and that is going to lead to more INT than a game manager, especially when some of the WR he's throwing to aren't that good. As said before - put Luck on the Bengals and that team is going to the superbowl.

Dude, an inaccurately thrown ball is likely getting picked no matter who is receivers are.

Maybe you should go back to your own team's message board if your skin is too thin to tolerate some reality.

Better WR mean more open opportunities and Luck isn't making many misses on open WR's. Plus, bigger stronger, faster, better athletes at WR are better at tracking passes and going and breaking up would-be INT's, as well.

I think part of the issue with judging Luck is the natural inclination-especially amongst Jaguars/divisional opponents fans-to compare him to Manning.

Is Andrew Luck as good as Peyton Manning was?

Absolutely not.

But is Andrew luck a very good QB?

Absolutely.

He does have problems with his accuracy from time to time, but he is still a very good QB I would love to have here as the Jaguars' QB.

Can he improve?  Yes.

You get him more weapons around him, keep him healthy, and get him some experience, he'll get better.

I'm not a Colts fan and I don't have thin skin... and also think that post was disgusting and uncalled for and had no semblance of "reality" whatsoever.  That moron should be ashamed of himself for posting it.

So Luck threw 14 ints in the playoffs? :whistling:

Can't believe this thread is still chugging along.  Luck is a solid rung above average and will likely be a really, really good QB for a long time.  Elite?  Maybe.  We'll see.

If you think that is reality, you're just as disgusting as he is.

I find this thread extremely amusing. Keep it going, guys.

Jaguar fans, of all people, trying to deny the recent success of the Colts. Keep whistling past the graveyard, guys.

And to continue to state that Luck is just average is to call into question the football smarts of many of you. I think it might be that the years of watching mediocre quarterback play from Gabbert has blinded you to what very good QB play looks like. Apparently it makes some people get dumber and dumber.

And as much as I hate to agree with TMD (who believes, along with Dr. Goebbles, that if you repeat a lie often enough people will believe it - perhaps some of you really buy into the Colts tanking for Luck), I think Luck alone will keep the Colts as a threat to win the division each year.

But keep on babbling on as to how he's average. Carry on.

Quote:This is stupid. They made the playoffs 2 straight years, including one of those being a division title.

None of that happens w/ o Andrew Luck.

Umm... yeah.  So what about Dalton and the Bengals?

Agenda much?

Well, to be fair, the Bengals are loaded with good, young talent all over the roster. Their defense was still very good, despite the loss of Geno Atkins and Leon Hall.

I'm a Bengals fan, and regularly attend their home games. The Bengals have gotten to the playoffs 3yrs in a row despite Andy Dalton. Dalton is very, very good at times. But, for the most part he is average, and struggles big time in big games.

As a Bengals fan, and like many other Bengals fans, I would absolutely love to have Andrew Luck in Cincinnati. With that roster plus Luck, the Bengals would be doing some serious damage.

You could plug in any decent quarterback, and the Bengals make the playoffs.  Maybe even actually win a game.  Dalton doesn't really deserve much credit for what the Bengals have done.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

Bengals didn't do do well before Dalton?

Just to add, Dalton had a higher Passer rating, YPA, Yards, TD's, 1st Downs, 40+ yard receptions, 20+ yard receptions and yards a game.

is Luck a game manager? He seems to throw a lot of picks when they let him loose like the postseason.

what????

The Bengals likely make the playoffs in at least 2 of the last 3 years with or without Andy Dalton.

If Luck was the Bengals QB they'd be playing next Sunday and would probably be on the way to hoisting the Lombardi trophy in a few weeks.
