Keys to Beating New England

Truth be told I don’t hate teams really, just have a dislike sometimes based on dirty play or arrogance. See the Steelers this past week for instance. Thanks for posting a reasonable post. I hope for the upset. It will take a perfect game from the Jags. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Of course, by "eliminate" I don't advocate dirty play or hoping players get hurt. I'm just saying take Brady's ability to throw the ball and take Gronk away from being able to catch a pass. Well, that's simple enough: Stop Brady and Gronk, then have your way offensively...good plan if it works. I tend to doubt it will though. Belichick's plan will be similar to the TT's game - sell out on defense to stop the run, including limiting Bortles getting out of the pocket, putting the game on his shoulders and arm. On offense, hoping to see Burkhead in the backfield. Jags probably haven't seen much of tape of him this season prepping for this game. Having a mix of Lewis, White & Burkhead in the backfield opens up the playbook for Brady and clears a ton of space for Gronk.

Also change your offensive and defensive signals for the second half because Belicheat has Ernie Adams analyzing the signals and plays in the first half. That's why the Pats***** halftime "adjustments" are miraculous. Tom Coughlin knows this already, it's partly how he beat them twice in the Super Bowl.

Brady's Achilles is suspect. Put him on the ground a few times, who knows what can happen.
A 40 year old body hitting the ground in cold weather is what the doctor ordered. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
For some reason my post keeps getting passed on with another poster. I don’t know what was arrogant in it.
Again, I live in Northern Europe and I follow Pats for the same reason why I followed the Bulls in the 90’s. Who doesn’t enjoy good football played at a highest level. I always enjoyed Jags for some reason and my favorite team growing up was the Marino led Dolphins. Pats fans who say “Oh we’ll beat the sorry Jaguars” are just as foolish as the people who worry about headset malfunctions or say that the Pats have never seen a D like the Jags. All comes down to execution and anything can happen, because it’s only one game. Jags should really worry about the running backs in the passing game and the hurry up. Pats will most likely struggle early so you have to pounce them, because in the long run Brady will wear the defense down. Can’t wait for the game, although the Jeff Fisher bowl doesn’t interest me all that much. I hope the first drive is similar to the first one against Pitt. Lots of play action and smart runs.
Also need Fournette to heal that ankle. He was a BEAST before he hurt his ankle. (01-15-2018, 05:57 PM)StroudCrowd1 Wrote: Brady's Achilles is suspect. Lots of play action and smart runs. That's a crazy stat i saw for yesterday, we had 1 play the whole game for negative yards, and that was Bortles kneeling for the half. Looking at the Steelers TD's yesterday, Brown's 2 were crazy, especially the 2nd one, how he not only caught it but maintained possession i'll never know, Bell's was great coverage by Telvin but Bell catches it in mid air about an inch off the ground. It's a hell of a play. And the throw for the Bryant TD was perfection. Now i'm not saying Brady can't hit a small window but the Steelers WR's group is one of the best in the league, they can beat you in so many ways but i don't see the D giving up 'big plays' like that again.
Would there be any way for the Jags to keep all 4 RB's active to have consistent fresh rotation in trying to maximize ball control?
It would also keep Ivory available in case Fournette's ankle gets worse. Basically who would end up becoming inactive by keeping all 4 RB's?
I have not watched much of New England this year. It's obvious Brady sees the field better than anyone else and can go into a gameplan that allows him to release the ball quickly when facing a defense like the Jags. I think their offense will move down the field by using quick screens to the middle, and then set up a bunch of plays where Gronk runs down the sidelines and uses his physical advantage against the secondary and linebackers. During the Steelers game, their own TEs killed us with chunks of yards and allowed them to get first downs during their scoring drives. I hope we can fix those problems and have a plan to mask Gronk and at least slow him down.
The Pats***** won't need to go long. Br*dy will just hit Gronk for 10-15 yards all day and it'll take another 3-5 yards for enough people to catch up to him and bring him down.
Y'all have the #2 defense in the league and first against the pass but we still hung 42 on the Jags and lost because our defense is awful. To beat the Pats***** Bortles will probably need to put up 40 again and this will be against a defense that knows what plays he's calling before he does. Then yaz have to beat the refs and Uncle Al the replay official back at NFL HQ. Plan on Fournette having several good runs nullified with "holding penalties", y'all will get several flags for PI and the Pats***** will get none. This season the Pats***** have had THREE close game-changing replay calls ALL go their way. My conspiracy theory goes like this: Goodell needs, really needs, for the public to think that the Pats***** aren't cheating any more (they are) and can win games without it. Otherwise the integrity of the game, fanbase, and especially gambling, is all lost. The refs know how Goodell would like things to go without needing to be told and now all the replays are reviewed by one guy who is down the hall from Roger, so the Pats***** get a huge benefit of the doubt. Belicheat knows this, knows he has Goodell over a barrel, and can keep stealing signals and telling Br*dy where to throw through his headset after it's supposed to be turned off. So you will have to beat the refs too. Luckily you have Tom Coughlin on your side who knows how to beat these cheating bastiges. Good luck next week.

The patriots defense is under rated Since they lost to carolina they have allowed the fewest points in the nfl. They have also been much better on defense. Allowing only 224 yards per game thru the air and they have been pretty good keeping rb out the endzone allowing only 3 td on 301 rushing attempts in last 13 games. Now this will by no means be any easy game for the patriots. But there is absoultly nothing brady hasnt seen before. The jags are gonna have to play mistake free for 60 minutes. If you do all that you will be in a close game late. (01-15-2018, 10:28 PM)Cmdjr85 Wrote:That’s so nice to hear. If we play immaculately we can have a “close game”. Steroid use was begun by the SD Chargers in 1963. Your team however, was caught three times, warned once, and penalized twice with fines, loss of draft picks, and your QB suspended. Everyone from New York and south knows your Lombardi's are tainted.

Where is the disipline? And lastly why did your coaches and team over look a team that already beat you 30-9? And clearly had gotten better. Im glad my team i support dosent over look anyone and takes every game seriously. Just remember 2017 the year that could have been, tomlin has been thinking about the shalacking in foxborough way to much. Better luck next year

No way any of the other QB's can beat Brady. They have no respect for us or our D, they think it will be the T*tans all over again. I also bet they've watched maybe 2 of our games this season so have no idea how good we actually are.Yep go study the miami tape. Lol see how that works for you. And the pata defense is much improved. In the moat important area they went from 32nd to 5th in 12 games. They also allowed 3 rushing touchdowns over the last 13 games. I will ask you to answer why the miami tape would be useless Also just as jacksonville has pittsburghs number brady has jacksonvilles hes 7-0 against the jags including setting a post season single game vompletion % record against the jags.
Didn’t know that this exact jags team has lost 7 times in the playoffs to the patriots.
The whole 7-0 against the jags doesn’t matter because this isn’t the same team |
