Yeah lets get the team friendly deal so we can be the new Bemgals stuck in qb purgatory and our window closes. Draft or sign someone i dont care but it can't be bortles and henne

I just want them to bring in completion this year thats all want i also dont think a rookie can lead the team to a super bowl i knows it hsppened but rarely so if they go rookie qb route then blakes the guy this year to me another wasted year.
You have to think potentislly this year or next will be the start of calais slowing down and decline.

We pretty much just rode the perfect storm. To get back to where we are it's going to take more than getting Arob back, a guard, and a tight end. 1. Schedule getting much harder. 2. Division getting harder. 3. Extremely unlikely to get so lucky with injuries. 4. Most teams will have more cap space to add help. 5. Almost every team will have more draft capital to add help. I really hope we stay healthy next year too. Jags were lucky no major D player went down for long except Telvin right. Watson could be figured out next year. No, for the reasons I gave, the schedule is not much harder than this year's was. The non division games are equivalent at best, in division the clots have neither coach nor QB, the tittians fired their coach again and the tonhorns have a rookie qb coming off an acl. This includes the 2 SB teams and 3 of the top 4 seeds. 5 playoff teams total. This time last year, there were zero 13-3 teams. 3 playoff teams.

Last year's team isn't this year's by most reckoning, so the schedule only matters for perennials like the Pats. Instead of now facing the last place teams in divisions we are playing 1st place teams (I assume you understand how the schedule works but maybe that's a bad assumption). The odds that we have a bottom 5 easiest schedule is highly unlikely, truth. Our entire starting 11 on defense missed 3(!) total starts the entire season. We lost one significant player to injury all year. Almost every other team is getting more players back from injury, truth. We have the most money spent toward our 2018 cap, fortunately we have rollover but that will be spent quickly. Other teams can spend more thus get better by a factor more than us. Truth. Almost every other teams has higher draft picks and more draft picks since we draft 29th and don't have a 5th rounder. That's truth. It sucks that you think facts are spinning, but I guess that's where we are now. (02-11-2018, 11:32 AM)leopold332002 Wrote:Saying our schedule gets harder is dismissing them as a fluke? Got it. And every year a number of teams find great talent picking in the twenties, and fifties and on and on. Picking later is not some sort of draft death sentence. There will be upgrades to be had even if the team stays with its current picks. |
