I think with him Westbrook Cole and Hurns.. That would be a good tandem..

Yeah, but I don't believe he plays the split end spot meaning we would stilll need to replace ARob.

I just don't know that I'm confident putting Cole or Dede out there full-time.

We could do worse but he isn't going to replace ARob which is what we would be looking to do.

Acknowledging we could use a veteran presence at WR, I would have to say no to this acquisition.

1. He is 32 years old-an age where WR skills begin to drop off precipitously.

2. He isn't the biggest or fastest guy out there. Not sure he can get deep consistently or pose any sort of matchup problem against anyone.

If you were talking about signing Chris Hogan, I'd be all for it.

But I'm not sold that any Patriot WR aside from Cooks and Hogan does anything of note away from New England.

Only if I get the Kay Adams signing bonus.

Nah, he's average and Brady made him look good. The ball would be out of reach for him coming from Bortles because of bad timing and ball placement.

If we had Tom Brady as QB, sure. They make all their players look better than they would be on another team. No thanks.
Let's Get Em!!!! Go Jags!

Man Amendola has been a gamer since he was with the Rams. The guy is clutch. But we already have a younger version of a clutch , slightly injury prone reciever in Hurns. And Hurns has the higher roof IMO. So I don't see Amendola being much use to us. But he is a beast, especially in the playoffs.

Yes, it's improvement, but it's Blaine Gabbert 2012 level improvement. - Pirkster
