Where would you go with our 2nd round pick?

Quote:Just because he drafted five DBs doesn't automatically qualify them as upgrades.

But the fact that he did pick five defensive backs is proof one draft is enough to upgrade 3 or 4 offensive line positions.

I've stated earlier that DT or Leo would be my pick but I'd maybe have a hard time doing that with Gabe Jackson on the board. The guy the definition of a big nasty guard. Think he was better both Cooper and Warmack (two first rounders last year). Maybe grab Jackson and trade up for a DT or pass rusher

If Gabe Jackson is better than two first rounders, I would expect him to be a first round pick.

Better vision, better pass-catcher, better pass-blocker, and just overall a more dynamic player than the limited, over-hyped Mason.

I'd be happy with Clowney in the first then use our 2nd round pick and maybe a combo of our extra picks later in the draft to jump ahead of the QB needy teams and grab Mettenberger.

If we grab Bridgewater or Bortles then it's definitely BAP.  We could use nearly any position.

If Tre Mason is overhyped, how do you explain his 300-something rushing yards in Atlanta?

If we go Qb with our 1st, go for a WR.

If we go DE with our 1st, go for a Qb.

Thanks for putting in the writeup on Kelcy Quarles, J.Cat. Good effort.

I keep the Walter Football write-ups open on a separate tab and swing over to them when a guy is mentioned here that I'm not familiar with (which is almost everyone but I'm closing in on them) like Gabe Jackson/Bishop Sankey, etc. mentioned above.

By Draft Day, I'll be pretty excited to see who we take as I'll know probably everyone in the first 4 rounds.

Once again, and I say this every year, I marvel at everyone's amazing knowledge here of college football players. It's a huge part of what makes this a quality message board. Great stuff.

Because Missouri is a bad run-stopping defense.

Because it's college football.... not the NFL.

None of the QBs outside of Bortles, Bridgewater, or Manziel should be drafted before the 4th round.

Jimmy G maybe in the third but I pretty much agree. I feel Mettenberger will be selected somewhere in round 3 though

No way. Wide receiver is not a high priority. First we need 3 interior offensive linemen.

I thought Matthews was going to be a top 10 pick. If you are thinking of someone else, include his first name.

I really like Dee Ford from Auburn, after watching a lot of film on him I think he would fit the Leo position very well. He is a really good pass rusher and has a hell of a motor on him, always playing to the whistle.

He is referring to Jordan Matthews, the WR out of Vandy.  He could easily be gone before the 2nd round though.

Pass. We don't nee a wide receiver in the second round. Give me an offensive lineman if we get a quarterback in the first.

Pass. We can get offensive linemen in the later rounds

We need to address the pass rush and skill positions first

The majority of starting guards and centers around the league were drafted in rounds 3-5.
