I'd rather front load it and leave space in 2019/2020 for all the second contracts coming up on defense.

The Jags can address nickel corner, RG, TE and backup QB in the draft without needing to throw around much more FA money.

I'm not going to complain about getting a really good player, but holy hell that's a ton of money for a non premium position. I can't help but think that giving essentially that same money to Arob or that money + what they gave Blake for Cousins wouldn't make us a better team. Doubling down is obviously the theme of this offseason though and Norwell will definitely help with that.

Hahahahaha.  They could have literally drafted a much cheaper OG with similar skill set.  Now we just budget fudged ourselves in the future.

Our window to win a championship is a few years due to awful contracts and players expiring.

I mean you cant address every need in the draft, and there are certain positions that we HAVE to hit on this year. You cant reasonably expect to draft a guy that will instantly be a top guard in the NFL. 

Its all about establishing our identity on offense. We want to run the ball... you cant count on drafting an All Pro rookie guard... there is an element of luck involved in that.

Offensive line may not get the glory but it is a premium position, especially is running the ball is the focus.

Every great team is dominant at at least one thing. Jags are dominant in 2 areas now. They are about to destroy people in the run game and their defense is still dominant. I think Blake will be better than he was in 2017 but I'm more excited about Fournette. If he takes this off season seriously, he should be able to run for 1600 yards or more.

Pettis would have to beat out Mickens in camp for the PR spot, but that would be a fun battle to watch. You could also get him day three most likely so in round one we could get Vander Esch to replace Poz allowing for no more weak link on the defense; then maybe Hayden Hurst does actually fall to our round two pick with someone else reaching for Gesicki instead; and then in round three we get our nickel back to replace Colvin.

The Oline was average last year. The left side is now arguably the best in the league. If the Jags can sign a decent FA WR and draft another, it should be good for the offense.

The Chiefs are set to sign Watkins, but I'm over here in Washington state praying for the Jaguars to sign Richardson. If we don't, then I hope Courtland Sutton makes it to #29 and I'd have to give up on my Vander Esch dream.

That stat does not paint an accurate picture of the Jags' run game in 2017. 
Given Fournette's style of play, a road-grading guard could have significant impact on this offense.

Good signing. Keep the trenches secure and pound the rock. Find a WR and TE in the draft. Jags have done well finding undrafted talent as well.
