You shouldn't have to wait to pick if you know who you want, but I don't know about time limits. People work and sleep. In a couple hours I'm taking off and will be gone for like 12 hours.  At least at first we shoul have like a 10 or 12- hour limit to give people a chance. He might not even know it started yet.
