Where would you go with our 2nd round pick?

Considering our team needs, I don't think we pass on the BAP virtually anywhere unless we are grabbing a QB.

Quote:The majority of starting guards and centers around the league were drafted in rounds 3-5.

That does not mean it is a bad idea to pick a guard in the second round.

If David Caldwell's first draft is any indication, only one pick will be strictly BAP with the rest covering our needs.

The point is that BAP and needs are the same thing because of how many positions we need to fill.

How do you know Cyprien wasn't his BAP? He was projected to be the first safety off the board and go in the first round.

I said only one pick was strictly BAP - meaning it was obvious we did not need Luke Joeckel at the time, but he was the BAP. Jonathan Cyprien, on the other paw, filled a need because we dumped the guy he replaced. Therefore, Cyprien was a need pick who just happened to also be the BAP.

False, he was the BAP that also happened to fill a need

How do you know David Caldwell would have picked him even if we did not need a strong safety?
