He was a bit under used at LSU due to them never having a good QB for him but I’m not a big Chark guy. Living in the heart of SEC country, I saw a lot of his games. Hands are a big issue IMO. Maybe it’s not a concern and I’m not a guy that’s going to pretend to be an arm chair scout and pour over his film but jut from the games I’ve watched I’ve seen drops from him. It does say a lot about him that he was selected to wear #7 at LSU tho. That is a HUGE honor.

The one thing I noticed from the highlight video is that he could have had a bunch more yards and touchdowns if the quarterback had thrown the ball right. It was often short and behind him. I like what I see!

Hard worker from what I've read. The biggest knock here is that a lot of what he is as a prospect is projection based off potential. There seems to be a lot of LSU receivers doing better in the NFL than at LSU recently, so he has that in his favor. A little bit of a body catcher. It's a good pick with home run potential at the end of the 2nd round. I like it.

I gave it a B in the other Chark thread so I am a fan of it. Considering how raw he is I can't see giving it an A based purely on potential.
After the first and high second rd, having a lot of potential is the highest standard for picks.

Polished with high potential are pretty much gone at that point.

Frame, athleticism and just overall look.....he's reminiscent of an underdeveloped AJ Green. Tall, slender in size, tracks the ball very well. Practising against Ramsey and Bouye will be invaluable for him

Saw some people comping him to Robbie Anderson. That seems apt.

Since I opened the thread about him in the college section to possibly take him in the second round last month I'm really happy with the pick Smile

This guy can be really special, need to improve some route running and to use his body better to his advantage. McCardell can mold this guy into a beast. At senior bowl he killed it with Lauletta and White hitting him for big gains.
6'3, 4.34 speed, 40 vertical, 129 broad jump, freak athlete.
He's a perfect fit for a team that relies on play action, really looking forwards to see him play on our team.

I'm truly loving the selection of Chark. He gives us promise for the now and the future while replacing A-Rob and adding depth to the receiving corp. He has speed, good/strong hands and his rout running is on point. This pick also sets us up w/respect to the salary cap. Well Done Caldwell.

He's a solid prospect. What I don't get is all of this crying on here about "Al Davis would love this" or "Here's to development". Look... this team was a few plays away from being in a Superbowl with the current roster as it stands. This isn't Coughlin and Caldwell and Co. taking huge gambles on freak athletes in the top ten like Al Davis....

This is a team CLEARLY going with value and BAP instead of need right now while keeping an eye on the horizon of what's to come when they have to start trimming some fat off the roster and clearing the way for youth. Bryan, Chark and Harrison are all in a position to where they can come in and watch and learn while also getting into the mix as quality depth with the abilities and tools to make an impact.

LSU has been garbage at the QB position for years now and they've leaned towards the running game. There's a reason why guys like ODB and Landry have turned out to be better PROs than college players. And if anybody knows the WR position. Trust me, nobody seems to know it better than Coughlin and Caldwell. Caldwell has clearly shown that he has a sharp eye when it comes to the position. And Coughlin has also shown that as well throughout his career. We know all too well with Jimmy and Keenan during their primes. And he's obviously responsible for ODB being a Giant today.

Have some faith. The Mainstream is eating this up right now. The [BLEEP] over on Walterfootball and Big Cat Country have been tickled pink with excitement so far. Clearly someone in that building is doing a good job...
