They have us grabbing Sammy Watkins from Clemson University..

They said that don't be surprised if we go WR because Caldwell came from Falcons with lots of playmakers at WR..

I'm not really sold on Bridgewater or Manziel..

I think if we wait tiull second round or just trade for an experienced QB would be better..

This team has the money like 50+ under the cap so let's trade for one..

Anyone who thinks we will pick a wide receiver at #3 has not seen us play the last three years.

I keep telling you guys it's a distinct possibility. However, I still think we go quarterback or Clowney (if he falls)

I have....and I can see it. Shorts can't stay healthy and Blackmon can't stay off the booze. That's what I see. Saunders and Brown look promising.

If Bridgwater, Clowney, and Matthews are all off the board its possible. (The top 3 prospects this year) Especially if Caldwell isn't sold on Johnny or Bortles.

Most likely if we take Watkins it will be done with us trading back though.

If Cleveland doesn't trade up for a QB.......then they will take him at 4

Watkins?  I can't see why they would take a WR that early with Gordon and Cameron there.  Gordon just led the league in receiving yards despite missing two games and having crappy QBs.  I'd see them drafting a RT before that.

Shorts + Watkins would be dominant. Blackmon has been special in the slot when he's been put there, that could work out very well.

More and more mocks have him going there if they don't get their QB. The 2nd best corner would have to cover Watkins and the safeties would have to adjust. Detroit would also consider him if he falls.

I think it would be stupid for this team to pick Watkins at 3 because not only would you be passing on Clowney, Bridgewater or Manziel, but this draft is loaded with high level WR and you could get a guy like DeVante Adams or Benjamin later who could be better producers at the position than Watkins at the NFL level.

Working the draft is about getting the most value out of the most selections.

Justin Blackmon went to rehab so he can stay off booze. There is no reason to give up on him yet.

I was referring to quarterbacks.

Shorts was playing with an injured groin all season to give our team some kind of a chance. The guy is a fighter.

Yeah he is. At least he did t have concussion issues this year. He should have broken 1000 yards both years.....easily. Gotta stay healthy.

I don't agree with it at all.  If Cameron wasn't there, then maybe, but you have one of the best receivers in the league and a very good TE, there are much more pressing needs.  Their O-line could use some help and they obviously need a signal-caller.  Their secondary too, but I expect them to address that with another pick.

If clowney/teddy are gone we will pick Bortles/Manziel if Caldwell deems them worthy, and if not then Mack. Taking a wr that high is absurd even if Sammys a beast.

I dont think we will go WR, But if we do i wont be mad about it either. I just believe Someone else will fall to us at 3. If we trade out of the 3rd pick we might also miss on Sammy... either way i love this time of the year Big Grin

I will be mad if either Bridgewater or Manziel is available and we don't pick him. It is now or never for a quarterback.

Someone will have to tell me how Watkins + Shorts would be so dominate when we have hot garbage throwing to them.  With a competent QB Shorts is a two time 1,000 yard receiver already...

for everyone saying trade for a QB...what do we trade and for who?  The hot names out there it would seem are Foles and Cousins...neither of which are going anywhere except back to camp with their current teams...
