Agreed, i like Brown but not sure how he'd do having to play a few full games. I'm not sure what's about cuts wise but that's the only area we look weak depth wise. I wonder how much nickel we will play but we only have 5 DB's but 3 safeties.

We don’t have a backup Sam either. Brown is decent enough depth for Telvin but after that....? This should hopefully be addressed in the coming days.
Backup LT is a huge concern also. Robinson has to stay healthy.

Yep.  (And I think McCray is the intended pseudo-SAM back up as he's a former 3-4 OLB, knarnn)

Payne has gotten some work at MLB with the twos during camp, but if Jack goes down we are in trouble.

If I'm ranking these depth concerns, it goes like this:

LT
MLB
WLB
ANY OTHER O-LINEMAN
SAM
TE#1

Safe choices. The Jags had time and draft capital invested in guys like Brown, Michael Bennett, Smoot, etc. Time to see if they can stay healthy and start to contribute.

I think more so in camp practice than in the preseason games.

Don't know, TBH.  I think had Meeks held on to those would be INTs, he would be on the roster....or at least a tougher cut.

I thought he readily outplayed him.  Meeks is a perfect PS candidate. Still too raw. He has a knack for jumping routes though.

Herndon looked really natural at nickel dropping in coverage as well as coming up against the run. Good instincts for the ball - not shy about hitting.  He wasn't perfect with angles a couple of times, but seemed to diagnose the play quickly very often.

For those still wondering about Herndon, check out Marrone's comments on him starting at the 6:15 mark in this video:
