If good teams dont lose 2 games in a row..... what are we when losing 3?

(This post was last modified: 10-21-2018, 03:55 PM by HandsomeRob86.)

wow, we are gonna have a losing season again. We can't win like this.

lol 'first of the 4 games that wasn't a nail biter.' Thanks guys, not salting the wound at all.

Yes, it's improvement, but it's Blaine Gabbert 2012 level improvement. - Pirkster

Kessler threw it 100x better than BB5 and didn’t fumble it 2x.  If Bortles starts Marrone is an idiot.

A severely injured one. You don't see many teams go to a 3rd LT. We have no depth on the O line or RB and we are paying for it. Hyde should help if we keep Kessler as the starter.

He does have nice release he appears to not feel blind side pressure very well though.
Bortles for sure is a better runner and faster though.
No Fun

Nope, simply can't go back to Bortles now unless it's because of injury.

Everybody thinks that everything is always Bortles' fault. We'll get to find out now.

He did fumble it once though and have a pick. So he wasn't loads better.

If Kessler started and played the whole game like he did, I think the Jags would have won. BB5 gave them 10 points on his bonehead fumbles.

Does anyone understand football and football situations? How can you say Bortles gives us the best chance to win? Did you not watch the last 2.5 games? Houston never had to respect the run when Kessler was in because of the deficit. We could actually move the sticks in the second half there just wasn't enough time and the defense didn't exactly do that great but there was some life at the end. Bortles can watch for a while I think he needs it.
No pain, no gain.

It was noticeably better. The pick was a ball that was slightly off target, QBs will throw interceptions and at least he led the RB with that throw, more playing time and that pass is way more routine and on target. Kessler hasn't played much the last 1.5 seasons.

Bortles fumbled it being an idiot falling to the ground both times. Kessler got blind side sacked because of our garbage protection. The pick was off our RB's hands. I don't know I feel like most of you don't actually see what's happening in games and just look at stat lines.
No pain, no gain.

agree.  BB5 has been worse than awful, yet Proto can’t see that Kessler was loads better.

I can see he was better but loads better is a huge exaggeration. He was a slight upgrade who got us 7 points instead of 0 and made similar mistakes as Bortles. Bortles throws that pick you all would have no problem pointing out the bad ball placement on the throw. Kessler does it and it's all on Yeldon.

Again not saying Kessler shouldn't be the starter or that he didnt play better but I think people's hatred of Bortles is blinding them from what was a very meh showing from Kessler. Maybe he plays better next week but when has something like that ever worked out for the Jaguars.

morron didnt take him out because of the way he played but took him out to make a statement to the team that everyones job is on the line lol

idk,, I can't see it, just going by what they're saying.

Are you blind?

Lol! No.

I can't view the game in my area. I listen to the radio broadcasts with Boselli when I can't see them.

That's a tough call to make. But, I bet you're right. I'd say the benching was to send a message and to try and get Bortles to turn his game around.

He better, cause if he looks the same as he has the last 3 weeks, he'll get the hook.

Listening to the radio broadcast, Boselli predicted Bortles fumbling again. He was calling BB "reckless" with the way he was carrying the ball on his runs in the 1st half. "He better be REALLY careful, he's being extremely reckless".

Then boom,, a fumble at his own 12 yard line.
