This sort of nonsense makes me almost miss the Gene Smith choirboys. Wallbash

Team's imploding in almost record time - basically one season.

I'm so sick of Jalen Ramsey.  Over-hyped and over-praised.  People make like he's the second coming of Deion.  Man, he ain't even a cheap knock off of Richard Sherman.  He's good but not great.  But he chirps and he talks and he struts.  Just shut up, man, and do your job!

I know there's only so much you can do, but O line is a big problem. We would need a guy like Manning or Brady, or any QB who can get it out in under 3 seconds, to even remotely make the O line work. Its just so bad on obvious passing downs.

If we can stop making stupid turnovers and get a run game going, we can stay in games.

Ah, good!  At least not everyone on the board has an alcohol addled brain.

Bortles is still the best QB on the roster.  The O-line still can't pass block.  And we were facing one of the best front 7s in the league today.

Injuries killed the season.  Not one player.
Bortles is the best QB based on what? He can’t do anything right now. The line has actually protected him well including the play where he had his first fumble. He isn’t accurate. He can’t make 2 reads and he turns the ball over way too much.

I’m all for Kessler now. He’s at least accurate. The Blake day’s are pretty much over. He’s had 2 good games and 5 dumpster fires. Can’t happen.

Both probably.  Not that I would turn over the team to him.

You're right, it wasn't just one player. Bortles imploded. Street level FAs at LT, RB, and TE. Noodle arm Kessler will finish the terrible season off. The idea there are posters who think this team can win with Kessler (42 QBR) is sad. We struggle to get to 7 wins. Next season, I think we have 2 new QBs come game 1.

The question for me is “can we fix this, or is the team broken?”

I think a combination of injuries, a lack of quality additions in the summer, inexperienced receivers and just bad play have created an offense which simply can’t function.

And the defense isn’t capable of keeping us in games right now.

We’re not getting Robinson, Lee, Paul, Grant or Mickens back and ASJ is also gone for a while, so unless Fournette gets back soon, I don’t see how we fix this.

Sorry to be pessimistic, but is there some glimmer of hope I’m missing?

Jalen making those comments really don't help at all. Sounds like a big divide on the team.

Heres my thought and I welcome all comments:
This team, offensive and defense lost all confidence in Bortles. They gave him a chance, right up to his fumble. The defense was attacking and playing good. Then the fumble came. Our D stopped attacking and you could tell that they are tired of defending a short field and not getting any time to rest before having to come back out. Offensively, I haven't seen this team care less than today. 2 dropped passes from Cole on third and short (seriously???) After the fumble even the line stopped playing as hard, although I will give them credit for limiting #99. We couldn't run the ball at all...

Then Kessler comes in. Receivers start making catches, runners start getting some room and low and behold we score a TD. I'm sorry, but KESSLER is not that good. If he were Cleveland, I mean Cleveland...would have never let him go. We aren't talking about Brady, or Rodgers backups here...He came from Cleveland...Land of Damn we need a QB.

How in the world is this team ignoring the fact that Kaepernick and Dez are out there for the taking. Attitudes and politics aside, these guys are better than anything we have at those positions. PERIOD. Shad Khan don't want a winner in JAX. He wants a team he can move, and judging by the attendance at this game, he's gonna get what he wants.

If it sounds like I've given up on this team, your wrong. I've been a Jag since before they were the Jaguars. But if changes don't happen soon, I may be looking at free agency myself

I disagree on the Kaepernick and Dez ideas. There is a reason no one has picked them up.

As a side note, Id be willing to trade away every draft pick for next year for a damn QB that is a proven winner that has some tread still on the tires.  Lord knows we cant draft one

The day they sign Kaepernick is the day I find another team to care about.
