QB is not the only issue. Defense given up 90 points last 3 weeks

Last year we could at least sustain offensive drives and give the defense a rest, but now the offense is constantly 3 and out. Our defensive players are tired. Their being overworked, because the offense can't do their job.

Definitely true later in games, but when you've got LBs screwing up gap fits in the first two series of the game, safeties refusing to make hits in the run game, and pro-bowl CBs getting embarrassed early on in contests, there's more to it than just being tired.

I don't think the defense is a major issue in these losses minus the cowboys game, but they'd better at least shore up their play against the run in London. It's been markedly worse over the past two weeks.

LOL

Yeah - I'm with you here, but the past two weeks have been pretty ugly against the run.
A bit concerned with the underachieving going on there, myself.  Fixable in my estimation, but they'd better get on it quick.

The main issue with the run vs our Defense is that they aren't built to have the ball ran against them 30-40+ times a game.

This Defense is built to have a 2 score lead and to get after the QB. Forcing the other team to throw the football is what this Defense lives on. Hard for a Defense built like that to excel when their Offense can't even score 3 points  Wallbash

The defense carried the team last year. The offense showed up in the Steelers and Patriots game for the most part. But without consistently forcing turnovers the offense is forced to put drives together and we just don't really do that often. Especially being depleted by injuries.
No pain, no gain.

The offense is the #1 issue right now by a long shot.

The defense is pressuring the QB on 37% of dropbacks. That's 2nd in the league.

When it's a problem to ask your offense to "put drives together"
the problem is your offense.

It's just like watching the Jags back in the Gabbert/Henne days.

The defense was decent  (not to the level of the current one though, for sure), but still pretty good.

The offense struggled to even get the ball past midfield but once or twice a game.
