One thing that could help this team improve....

He literally posts the stat... Gets proven wrong on multiple fronts... Spins that stat like it's useless and doesn't mean anything LOL.

Dude you brought up that drop rate in the first place trying to fit your argument. Now that it doesn't fit and you were proven wrong, which seems like a really common thing, it's a meaningless and useless stat... Hilarious.

Hacket needs to call plays that work against zone and 6 and 7 back in coverage.

This right here. And if this team is supposed having a running identity, they are supposed to run the ball when they don't stack the box. I know they haven't been great at getting push, but they keep giving up on this too early. Use some more creative runs with jet sweeps and reverses. Pull Linder or Norwell. Force them to have to take away the running game again.

Just because you don't have LF, does not mean this philosophy has to disappear.

Nope I didn't say meaningless or useless, y'all keep putting those words into my mouth. I said overrated, which I strongly believe they are. One drop last week was consequential. Maybe a second one would have been if Blake wouldn't have thrown it way short of the sticks on 3rd down and there was no chance of a 1st down regardless. The drops are not in the top 10 problems with the offense.

So what is this ranking of offensive woes?

I'd say:

Turnovers/ ball protection
2a - Bortles inconsistency/accuracy
2b - Offensive line injuries and poor play
RB injuries
Lack of a receiving TE (TE depth chart in general)
Drops
Play Calling

Even after putting it near the bottom of my list - it still feels significant. Was a key problem in that titans game.

Jaguars lead league in drops with 18

It matters.

I would list RB injuries under the 2b slot. They essentially have scrapped both our screen game and 2 back sets. Based on preseason they seemed to be a rather large part of the offensive gameplan.

Strong argument to be made that every player not named TJ Yeldon and maybe Westbrook on offense haven't played as well as they should be.

So on the bright side, lots of room for improvement, on the down side when everyone seems to be off thats usually very very hard to fix.

I think that's an issue because of line health. Screens require movement and coordination, but right now our linemen are as mobile as the Maginot Line.

That thought came to me right after I posted as well. Basically two of the largest components of our offense have been blown up by injuries.

Since 2014, NFL teams scoring fewer than 10 points in back to back games are 15-3 against the spread the following week. With the spread at 3.5, that means a 1 score game and Jags would have a change in that scenario.
