That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.  There's only 32 teams at this level. Any are a privilege, this one just made a deep playoff run and the kid is under a contract that has a team 5th year option. Deserves better... psshhhh.

Or maybe you are not a fan of the team at all?

sry company man but he's right... I want him on this team, but true elite players dont deserve the crap that is this franchise

Dumbest thing I've ever heard.
Calling me a company man might be a close second.  I've called for drafting a QB three separate years now since Bortles has been here.  Even though I think Hackett could be a fine coordinator with a better QB and has done well in a number of games with Blake, I've called out his decisions in 5 losses dating back to last year as part of the problem.
I didn't want Fournette. Didn't like the pick.
I wanted OL or TE  over Smoot and over Bryan.
I frequently point out my issues with this franchise's decision making.

Am I a "company man" because I don't lose my [BLEEP] and spew a bunch of nonsense everytime something doesn't go well for the team like you do?

The Jags deserve the player they drafted and paid. That's exactly what they have at this point.

The notion that a player deserves a different team is one of if not the most idiotic thoughts a football fan of said team could make. Saying it actually is your announcement that you are in fact NOT a fan of said team and actually a simple troll or news comments section cancer that finds their way here after a bad patch. BCC is looking for you all.

Agree very much.

A player, no matter who it is or how "elite" they are doesn't "deserve" anything.  They are paid very well to do their job to the best of their ability no matter which team is paying them.

I mean, would it really surprise people if Jalen wanted to move to a bigger team?

I'd be surprised if he didn't want that eventually, especially if we can't sustain our success

I think dozens and dozens of players want to do that. For sure. Of course Ramsey would want to do what he's doing now - but with more limelight, exposure, and financial opportunity.

That has no bearing on what a player under an NFL contract "deserves" or how ridiculous it is for a supposed Jags fan to feel Ramsey deserves better than the Jaguars.

Define "bigger team".  Do you mean "bigger market" as in a team in a big city?  Would you classify say Green Bay or New Orleans as a "bigger team"?  After all, each team only has 53 roster spots.

As I said before.  No player "deserves" anything except what the "earn".

Yeah you can't feasibly say Ramsey deserves better right now after the Jags were a top 4 team last year.

But I also don't have a problem if an elite player is with a losing/bad organisation team forever and fans say "he deserves to go somewhere better". Kevin Garnett for instance, deserved better than the Timberwolves. And eventually got his wish. Fans understood it too.

Not the case here.
If a contender had traded for Poz midseason in 2016 and he got a shot at playing in a SB, I'd have been happy for him in the same way. He endured a lot of losing despite playing well.
A third year corner that's on one of the best defenses in the league that nearly went to the SB last year is a far, far cry.
I think saying Jalen deserves better is some seriously weak sauce fanning. Likely just a troll job anyway, so...

That's pretty funny. In a way you are correct. The older of us here aren't up with that. We weren't raised and haven't lived our lives as followers and certainly do not care about views..

As to the emphasized, he damn sure does owe the Jags something, that being his full effort and dedication as long as he is cashing their paychecks. Which if they decide will be a minimum of 5 years with the option and possibly eight with the franchise tag.

Man, checking back on this thread and it turned out a different way than I intended.

Didn't Ramsey say he's glad they drafted him? Ramsey wouldn't lie outright, but you could've expected a different answer if he didn't feel that way.

Either way, Ramsey isn't having a less-than-stellar season. He's been great this year, too. Bouye, however, has had a bit of a down year comparatively. Some of you have a horrible habit of downplaying the performances of every player when the team does poorly.

Yeah Ramsey isn't playing to his usual standard either. Still playing well but not close to last year.

If only Ramsey played as big as his mouth. He is Not playing great this year. Might be the scheme they are trying to run. I just dont see great from him yet this year. Let's hope maybe it changes this half of the season.
