That's an interesting point you make. Would have to go back and look at every pass, but I wonder if that has something to do with Cole's dropsies. Scared of the hit. Bortles definitely isn't the best when it comes to protecting his receivers. Westbrook is the only receiver I've liked so far this year. Chark definitely has potential though. Bortles and Hurns seemed to be on the same page. It was a bad moving letting him go and picking up Moncrief. Some decisions work out, some don't. As a GM you just need to have more that do than don't.

Team has expanded what they ask Cole to do and he hasn't been able to take his game to another level. He may be a guy with a certain niche which he does very well but you want to make sure he isn't out of his comfort zone. Keep him near the sidelines or down the field where he isnt in traffic. ________________________________________________ Scouting well is all that matters. Draft philosophy is all fluff. Looks like Dede can do it all but Cole can only do it vertical. Man, I really didn't think of that.

It's less that Trubisky is bad for Arob and more that Nagy's space the field, YAC based, spread the wealth offense is bad stylistically for Arob. Nah Mitch is terrified to throw into tight windows this year that really impacts how Arob plays. The offense is fine for Arob as he's getting plenty of 1v1 looks with Nagys scheming and sequences. He'd still be our best receiver if he was here and probably help our red zone woes a ton (11-08-2018, 05:10 PM)Upper Wrote:(11-08-2018, 11:47 AM)JackCity Wrote: Arob must be sooo annoyed he finally escaped a bad QB and landed with another! And I could say that he wouldn't be successful here and have just as much chance of being right, since the chances of either happening is 0%. Never mind the fact that he's been injured and Bortles has been horrible. ![]()
Man some of you are out of your mind. "I take Hurns at 6 million." Hurns is a 1 year wonder.

Arob and Hurns are way better than Coke and Moncrief. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Nagy is all about getting Cohen/Burton/Gabriel/Miller in space horizontally and hitting them for short gains with lots of YAC. It's also predicated on tons of quick stop and go misdirection stuff. That's the opposite of how Arob wins. And for the record I love Nagy's offense and how he gets the ball to playmakers in space and gives them room to work and beat mismatches. I wish we ran it here. I agree with you agreeing with me that Arob would still be our best offensive player heh. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Smh..you guys are crazy. Our offense was productive with Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns as the 1& 2 receivers, now we can barely get a first down. I wonder if some of yall really pay attention to what is going on or just create threads for discussion because the board is slow?

I wonder if some of yall really pay attention to what is going on or just create threads for discussion because the board is slow? Our offense was productive last year without them basically the whole year. 6th in the league. In 2016, when we had each of them, our offense ranked 23rd in the league. 2015? 18th, I'd love to have a healthy A-rob, but come on....... FYI, we are 22nd right now.
Looking at stats and saying our team was more productive without them is disingenuous... it ignores everything else that went into our team being productive. Look at our receivers and tell me with a straight face that A-Rob or Hurns wouldn't be starters on our team. Starters means they would be upgrades, upgrades means that we would be better.
There is not one WR on our team better than A-Rob and only one better than Hurns and hes on IR. That being said I'd be okay with letting them walk if we replaced them, but Moncrief looks like a bust, ASJ and Lee are hurt. Chark is green, Cole can't catch and Westbrook, while showing flashes, hasn't taken over. Greene has done enough just to dance around at the back of our depth chart. Obviously you can't predict injuries but we lacked depth at the position before the Injuries, we couldn't afford to let those two walk. Obviously they couldn't agree on a contract and we don't know what was discussed behind closed doors, but at the end of the day we had them, we currently need them but we let them walk. It's not like they use him as a space player. It's just Trubisky and him haven't been able to synch up at all. He can't throw backshoulder and hates throwing contested outside the hashes so it basically makes Arob redundant despite his usage. They use Gabriel and Burton vertically quite a bit too.(11-08-2018, 05:47 PM)JackCity Wrote: Nah Mitch is terrified to throw into tight windows this year that really impacts how Arob plays. |
