It was a fumble. He had no control. Would you guys stop with blaming the refs for once???

The season isn't over lots of ball to be played but what a dumb end to a game. Greene stinks and so do the refs. Don't even get me started on the defense... like hello anyone there?
No pain, no gain.

I agree that it was a fumble... but two things stand out to me, one there didn't seem to be any movement in the bamm until after his knee was down, which lends reasonable doubt and two we snapped the freaking ball before they blew the whistle. Shouldn't have been overturned and shouldn't have been reviewed. BS.
There was no evidence of the ball moving on that video until his knee was down.
the Jaguars got the snap off before the refs blew the whistle. Not one but two questionable moves by the officials to end the game. Looks like we land on "the NFL is rigged."
My fellow southpaw Mark Brunell will probably always be my favorite Jaguar.

Leonard Fournette final stat line, 24 rushes, 53 yards, 2.2 a carry, 2 TDs on a couple of point blank easy plays, and 5 receptions for 56 yards. Anyone still think he was a good pick?

Let's be honest, squeaking a win here would've been paper over the cracks. These issues need to be laid bare for all to see.

It was a fumble, the ball was in suspension, 0 possession. What irks me more is we got the play off, but whatever. Should have been ruled a fumble. We almost never get those breaks.

So who will we get with the 5th pick next April?

Just to recap: Bortles snaps the ball before the ref blows a whistle. Refs stop the play and say they’re reviewing it despite allowing 1 or 2 seconds to lapse during play. Then they ruled that the receiver fumbled because the ball started moving after his knee hit the ground.
The defender definitely loosened his grip, but it didn’t come out until the knee hit the ground. This rule with an “obvious recovery” after a blown whistle is crazy. The play is dead when the whistle is blown! That’s all it should be. |
