(11-11-2018, 05:09 PM)StroudCrowd1 Wrote: It was a fumble. He had no control. Would you guys stop with blaming the refs for once??? According to the 2018 NFL rule book a fumble is defined as: "...any act, other than passing, successful handing, or legally kicking the ball, which results in a loss of player possession." (Rule 3, section 2, article 5). Control isn't specifically mentioned. There are different caveats that vary according to the scenario in question (for example the tuck rule). The receiver still had possession when the knee touched. Given this and how the replay should only be used to reverse a call on the field if there's clear visual evidence, I'd say Jaguar fans have a right to be ticked. Also the fact that the next play got off before the replay whistle but they blew it dead anyway. That's not supposed to happen.

Telvin interception he was beat by 3 yards and the ball bounces off the TE into his hands. Vinateri missed a FG. Colts RB dropped a pass over the middle where he still might be running. They still were getting outschemed IMO. ^this Defense played better in the second half. But not really good. D-line played well, especially Campbell. ![]() Fix the O-Line!
I think it was a fumble in reality but the camera actually showed no definitive evidence of it. Essentially the booth guessed using intuition rather than based purely on the evidence.
Not sure that's the job of instant replay. (11-11-2018, 05:31 PM)I am Yoda Wrote: Bringing us to within 3 points. If Lambo doesn't miss, they bring to a tie. Don't try to spin this. Defense lost this game by 2 1/2 quarters of absolute suckage.I see. So defense is supposed to only allow less than 16 points every week for us to win? Got it. So the only week they succeeded in was against Titans and we STILL lost that game. Offense has it easy yall. They only need to score 2 TDs and a FG to win their games. WOW. ![]()
Doesn't matter this team is broken from top to bottom starting with the coaching staff being absolutely hemmed in by a QB that can't make all the throws. The color guy was saying the whole game depending on YAC is not going to get it done in this league.
Offensive line is a mash unit. Defense has major communication problems. And our solid kicker finally missed a kick. Every pass is an adventure because you don't know if.... The ball will be thrown correctly The receiver wont drop it If they catch it they wont fumble it Fournette helped by playing well but this team had one good game this year. I guess we should be happy that they beat the Patriots. Honestly know that the playoffs are virtually out of reach, we will probably beat the Steelers. I can't believe we weren't starting success but instead have one fluke year to hang our hats on for the fans. Anyone think we are doing something ground breaking in the off season? I bet we quadruple down on Bortles because of cap and just sell the fans on injuries.

It's just so bizarre that Fournette can be averaging 3 yards a carry and the team will just feed and feed and feed him, yet Yeldon can average 5+ yards per carry and we're lucky if he'll get to double digit carries.
What's that you say? Yeldon is averaging 5 yards per carry? Well better dial up 30 straight passes!!

It essentially was the single game version of what his season was last year, enough attempts to get to respectable totals, but inspected on a per play contribution he came up very short of what the expectations should be for a guy that had a top 5 draft selection flushed on him.

Yeah that's also what I was saying the past few games as well and i had little doubt that once Fournette was back he would have taken back to back carries for like 2 yards (like in the first half). When he's not on the field on 1st down situations our offense is much more unpredictable (as it can be because of our limitations).

It's because Yeldon usually gets the ball on 3rd down when teams are in their pass defense and LF get it on 2nd and 3rd with stacked boxes when teams know we are going to run. It's not really that hard to figure out There is a reason Borltes was the best QB in the league last year on passing on 1st downs. Because they always think we are going to run on 1st and when we pass do a PA to Fournette on 1st down somebody is usually open We show less advertisements to registered users. I'd say irony doesn't really capture it. We've seen a ton of WR fumbles this year. More like deja vu. |
