I think it only helps the perception of the team. If players have a great experience then it means if they don't get drafted they look at us a UDFA. Not to mention it helps with free agents who might look some teams the same but get swayed by the things they hear about the coaching staff.

Yeah, not too many negatives can be had from this.  Actually, none, really.

Quick/short passes. Lots of quick Slants, quick outs etc. You get the idea

Yeah, I meant for the entire day really. Both practices had more talking macro level stuff about prospects than what was happening that day in the practice.

Don't think I've mentioned Aikens more than once, but he has gotten the most positive pub out of all the tall, long, small school DBs. I hadn't heard of him until the weigh ins but I will try to find some video of him this weekend for sure.

While I understand the point you are trying to make....Do you realize how similar Gene's 2009 draft and Caldwell's 2013 draft were?

 

Outside of each first round selection being an offensive lineman, no.  I don't see the similarities.

 

Plus, Gene threw away a future second round pick for a guy that was drafted in the third round...who is no longer on the team.  Given Caldwell has beat his "the more picks, the better" philosophy into the ground, I seriously doubt anything like that would happen with this regime.

I personally think Dee Ford will probably end up being one of the best players in this draft. 

 

I was hoping the Jags would get a chance to draft him in the second, but as of now, I think he is a top 25 pick.

He was one of the day 2 winners. Made a real nice high point sideline catch from Fales that looked a whole lot like Jordy Nelson w/ that body control.
