Texans draft Clowney

Rams draft Matthews

With the third overall pick in the 2014 NFL draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars select Khalil Mack Outside Linebacker Buffalo.

Thoughts? What say you?

If he dominates the combine its possible is stock could shoot up the boards like Mario Williams did.

Could happen. I like Mack over Barr. As long as we get a QB from round 1-3 ill be okay with Caldwell's choices. Now if he takes a kicker in round three then I'll lose faith

What about a punter?

Honestly I'd be alright with it. I would be a little disappointed we couldn't move down a couple spots and still pick him.

Only pick I would "panic" about is if we took another OT after picking Joeckel last year.

Yup. By the time the draft comes around he could be a lock for the top 5. A lot is going to change in rankings/slotting on big boards from now to then.

I'd be disappointed it isn't a QB if he has the pick of the entire litter, but Mack is a fantastic prospect too so I wouldn't be mad.

My first thought is why not Bridgewater? But I like Mack more than Barr, who has been mocked to us by a couple NFLN analysts.

You should be able to trade down and still get Mack, so......yeah, it would be a stupid move by Caldwell to take at 3.

Panic mode?

The Jags try and call in their pick and the phone line is cut...then the lights go out in the war room and one by one people start to disappear until it's just an intern who went to Virginia Tech...he drafts Logan Thomas

You have to take Derek Carr in this situation!

Before you can trade down you have to have a trading partner and Mack could go as early as pick 5.  So if he dominates the combine and thats who Dave and Gus wants how would that be a stupid move?  Lol, just like you thought the Monroe trade was stupid.  You dont know what goes on behind closed doors or who offers what trades.  You always make it sound like its that simple to just make a trade and get what you want, it dont work like that.  Who are they gonna trade with?

Mack at #3 ---- I foresee me getting banned from this board on draft night.

I think we need some offensive firepower before we take a defensive player, It seems more and more now a days that you're able to find better defensive players in the later rounds but a lot harder to find high quality offensive players outside of the top three rounds.

I like Mack. At #3.........I don't know. But if Caldwell &Co. pick him there, then there is good reason. More than I'm aware of anyway.

Kinda this. I think we need to concentrate on offense. I would be okay with getting a guard and center in the 2nd &3rd round. We need some big meat up front so we can punch it in from the one yard line instead of settling for a field goal. Maybe a guy like Gabe Jackson and Bryan Stork.

Man you guys just need to chill.

We are going to get a great prospect no matter what in the Top 2 Rounds. Whether it be a Mack and Garrappolo pairing or a Bridgewater and Van Noy pairing or any other possibility. We will be fine.

I would try and fleece the Raiders and trade back and still be able to get one of the Big 3 QB's.

I say check the University of Buffalo schedule for 2013. Then examine the W/L record of their opponents.
