If they had let Fowler walk in FA this year, they may have gotten one next year. Yeldon won't recoup one.

Need to do a better job of player development to really be in this conversation.

Well in the Fowler instance trading him was the right thing to do. The most we could have gotten for Fowler if he left as a free agency is one third round pick. By trading him we maximized the value. We manag to get a 3rd round pick higher than any compensatory pick and we got a fifth-round pick on top of that.

But I agree with you we need to do a better job accumulating in developing talent. Bottom line is we need to win some Super bowls.
