Is Jay Gruden still on the hot seat? I don't see why they make this move unless that is the case, and he has to be respectable this year.

So, it’s Jags, And possibly Giants and Dolphins?   Perhaps the reports are true.  Hopefully that means a cheaper deal and not that the Jags offered up too much.

Why do people continue to say the Giants?

That makes no sense.

I agree.  But every other damn site keeps brining them up.  I guess I’m just a sheep.

Either way, Foles market is small. Almost looks to be a certainty.

What better way to slowly bring a rookie along than with a vet for the bridge for the rookie?

It makes no sense for Foles to go to a team that needs a QB?  I think there was a mutual agreement with Foles and the Eagles saying the wouldn't tag him if he stay out of the division.

more so because tagging him wouldn't have made sense for anyone

Because nearly every single person in NYC is tired of Eli and wants him to retire except for Eli and the Giants front office. So they and the media keep saying hoping it will happen. It actually sense if Eli retires, but there is no indication that will happen.

That and Eli has a cap hit of 23 MILLION next year.  Even if Foles takes the low road and goes 13-15 mil a year, I just don't see a team tying almost a fifth of their cap room up in one position, especially on one that would sit the bench all year.  Unless the Dolphins can find relief from Tannehill, they aren't players either.  They STILL have to pay J. James his RT money if they wanna keep him, and he WILL set the market at 10-11 per year.  They still gotta fit their draft class in there too. Now, if they cut Quinn, Branch (they already did, oops), and Amendola they free up 33 mil.  Thats player money for FA....but there is still holes.  James is gonna get his money (from the Dolphins or who?). Laramy Tunsil is coming up on his fifth year option.
